Healthspan Elite Pro20 Probiotic I'm a big fan of probiotics. These are as good as any, but come with heavyweight marketing of the All Blacks and a high price tag. This doesn't make them any better than other brands on the market. The Amazon page is full of useful information and I am pleased to be taking them daily, but I wouldn't actually pay over £30 for probiotics. This is good product for those on plant-based diets who want to optimise their gut health as well as for those recovering from the after-effects of chemo.

I have pains in my stomach first thing in the morning due to the prescription medications I have to take and then found that a well known probiotic drink dramatically reduced that but it was the trips to the supermarket, then having to find room in my fridge for them was rather irritating, so I thought I would give these a go as a possible alternative. The Healthspan Elite Pro20 Probiotic Capsules are classed as 'soft' are 19mm long, are easy to swallow with water and have no after taste, I do have great difficulty swallowing some tablets, but these are just fine and presented no problems. In the box you get 120 capsules in foil and the recommended does is 1-2 a day, I decided just to take one, because of all the medications I am on I did ask my GP first if they would be OK and he had no objections. I therefore should get 4 months out of the box, which is very good as it works out at 33p per capsule or day based on the price of £39.99, which is the price at the time of this review on 12 August 2022 If you are taking medicines and are concerned about ant effects, please consult your GP first, just to be sure. Regarding it's effects I can honestly say, that for ME, they are doing exactly the same as my probiotic drink, if I stop taking either the drink or these capsules the stomach pain is back the very next morning, and therefore they are certainly doing their job. Based on that I have no hesitation in giving them 5 stars.

I’ve no idea whether these capsules actually ‘work’. I don’t have gut problems but I realise that gut health is critical to general well being and is subject to significant research. It’s something I don’t know much about but on the basis that it seems unlikely that these supplements would do any harm, I thought I’d give them a go. They’re easy enough to swallow and the packaging is quality. I’ve suffered no known side effects after taking them for a couple of weeks. Hopefully they’re doing some good.

I've used this brand before and trust their supplements. However, this one hasn't made a difference for me, either positive or negative. The capsules are easy to swallow. I find the packaging slightly less convenient than a bottle, but not so much that it's a problem, I just prefer bottles of supplements instead of popping capsules from blister packaging daily. I think they're a bit expensive compared to other comparable brands. I guess there's a benefit to the testing for banned substances if you're a professional athlete who's going to be tested, but otherwise I would just need to trust the brand reputation.
