One of my favorite purchases
I had this working in minutes on an Arduino Nano. I pulled up a webpage that recommended using IRremote library. I just added the library on the IDE, and then used test code, and I was away. Every button on the keypad had a different encoded number. I even had 2 other remotes lying around on my desktop. Both those worked as well. They included an LED in the package with it and some Dupont cables. I did not need them. The receiver fits snugly into a breadboard. Superb purchase.

Great to use
These are great little devices for the budding arduino maker.I used them without issue. It's worth pointing out that arduino recently changed the ir libraries and you need to make sure you use the right one

easy to use
good little remote for projects, saves wiring up lots of buttons....

SCAM! Fewer functional buttons than obviously implied
Cheap trash!Remote appears to have 20 buttons but only 11 actually send unique IR codes. Multiple buttons (like 2&3, 0&LEFT, etc.) send identical signals, making them impossible to distinguish. Discovered this while programming - half the buttons are literally non-functional duplicates. Misleading design.
