Nokia 5.3 D.Sim 4/64GB - Cyan

Best phone I have bought my last phone was a Motorola one zoom and it did not past a year and cost 300 pounds this phone is half the price and much better apart from the camera as the one zoom was 64 mega pixel bthis is 13. The fingerprint scanner is excellent response is immediate no delay screen is bright and responsive quick to load pages and great to watch and stream on. Best of this phone is guaranteed to be updated for the next 3 years as it's an android one phone and it's not pre loaded with loads of unwanted stuff just a brilliant phone very happy with it well done Nokia for stepping and and away from Windows. I really recommend this phone my friend was so impressed they bought the 8.3 which is more expensive but the camera is excellent on it . Im ok with the camera but if it really bother you to have more mega pixels then the 5.4 they released has a better spec camera but for me taking picture of the dog and cats and a few people I'm happy with the quality it suits me but overall this is an excellent quality and value phone looks good feels good in the hand an excellent size screen very happy. I'm disabled and in and electric wheelchair to his phone is easy to hold not too heavy and has excellent battery life lasts a few days even with video calling for a few hours it lasts so well doesn't take long to fully charge

I've been using Apple for 10 years but got annoyed with storage limitations and battery issues. I decided to migrate to an Android phone, as my husband's been using it for a year now, and he's very happy with it. I compared some options in the market within the same price range and decided to give Nokia a try, as this is the brand of my first mobile back 20 years ago, and although I thought they stopped in time, they seem to have pretty decent smartphones launched recently. By reading the reviews and comparing processor speed, storage capacity, camera features, and battery life, and I thought they deserved a chance. I admit that I'm really impressed with this phone, it's modern, it's very fast, the resolution is excellent, and the screen is way bigger than my previous iPhone 6 which was a great surprise when I opened the box. Plus it gives you the option of inserting an extra mini SD card to increase space without getting tied with a cloud-based subscription forever. I attached a picture comparing the sizes. It demands a bit of time to learn the gestures and settings, but nothing bad. I got pretty used to it in a couple of days. The battery is lasting easy more than 2 full days which is amazing. I didn't test all camera features yet, even though I got really nice shots using portrait mode, and also in low luminosity too as you can see. The macro isn't as crisp as the portrait but I'm not expecting a miracle, as I have a DSLR camera to take macro shots whenever I need high-quality ones, so this is no a big deal particularly for me. The only dislike I'd say is the position of the earphone jack at the upper side, but this is me being picky. All in all, this is a fantastic mobile for the price, it's really worth it. I couldn't have made a better choice! Thanks Nokia, I'm a fan again.

I bought this phone for £123 to replace my old iPhone. And for the price, this really is a pretty good phone. The fingerprint log in is not very reliable and some android apps are not as reliable as the Apple apps (some freeze from time to time) but generally is does everything I want to do with it, make calls, send texts, do my online banking and use some other apps like Google maps, Facebook or Amazon. The camera is good but you need a very steady hand, I get a lot of slightly distorted pics as my hands are not that steady. I deleted some pre-installed apps like YouTube and some Google ones as I don't use them. Be aware when starting the phone when new that you don't just tick 'agree' to the Google start up functions as you will allow Google to pretty much to spy on and track everything you do with the phone. It's worthwhile (and not very complicated) to spend an extra 2 minutes to customise your permissions. I also downloaded DuckDuckGo app which offers private browsing and use it as the default browser rather than using the pre-installed ones. Overall the start up took 2 hours as uploading the newest update took a very long time. I also didn't manage to transfer my contacts and music from my iPhone or iCloud but it's probably easier from android phone to android phone. Overall, I am pleased with the phone and it will do me just fine for as long as the updates come through (for 2 years), I was getting fed up with spending a lot of money on Iphones which are still fully functionable but the updates stop and force you to buy a new phone every 3 years anyway. From now on it's Nokia budget phones for me and I may spend the money I saved on a long weekend away

Positives; +I got this phone on offer for £125, good price for the specs +it is very fast and has ample storage, Android 10 is great. Battery is great. +Camera circular layout of lenses looks stylish. Phone feels pleasant to the touch. +Fingerprint thing works great even if your finger is at an angle, nicer than having to type a pin. Negatives:- -Was described as 'sand' colour and in the pics it looks nice and golden. However in reality it seems more like a sort of 'metallic apricot' colour, not quite as nice as the pics, still pretty nice though. -The screen is very tall, whilst nice for viewing web pages I see no other benefits to such an elongated aspect ratio beyond 16:9. Whilst the phone feels fine in the hand, it is cumbersome to fit in pockets be that trouser/coat/bag. However, it seems like the alternative models from Vodafone and Samsung are similarly oversized. It is annoying we are being forced us to have ridiculously large phones as there is no other option now. In summary some major positives and some negatives but not enough to knock a star off as I am very happy overall.

This was a replacement for my ageing Apple 5SE. Two SIM cards and a memory card can be used at the same time. Four Gb of RAM. A very decent processor for next to no lag. A combination of passphrase+fingerprint+face recognition security. Face recognition works well. It won't let me in if I'm not wearing my glasses. Wonderful. Mine is the cyan blue version and I think it looks terrific. Not obviously low-price at all. The bezel size is unobtrusive, also. I purchased a silicone case for it so I could attach a neck cord. Yes, I know many will consider lanyards very 'old school' but the phone is tall and without one it's only a matter of time before it falls from my shirt pocket. Keeping a phone in trouser pockets, particularly a back pocket, is just asking for a broken screen or a bent device. With age can come wisdom! Sometimes age comes alone!! The compromise is the screen resolution. Not, in my view, that you'd notice. I use my phone almost exclusively for making calls, sending texts, along with the calendaring and reminder aspects. I don't watch videos or TV on my phone, I never play games. The touchscreen is very responsive but not over-sensitive, so that you do not change things without intending. So, if you want a phone with two SIMS, that has the capability for using a memory card concurrently with two SIMS, [I load my SD card with lots of audio files] that has two years of android firmware updates in the pipeline [up to 2022?], and use your phone for mostly 'organisational' reasons, rather than visual entertainment, this device should serve you well. Highly recommended and terrific value.

I am very pleased with this phone. My last smart phone was a Nokia but the support for it died a few years back, so I reverted to a very basic phone. I decided to get another smart phone and this one was rated quite highly. I am not disappointed. This phone is extremely easy to get used to and to operate on a daily basis. Not overwhelmed by apps or anything. It has a nice clear screen which is a good size, reading texts and emails is easy too. As a phone it works extremely well and the sound is good. Delighted with this phone, great value for money and has to rate as one of the best budget smart phones going.

I bought a Nokia 5.3 to replace a Moto G4 which was into its fourth year. Whilst the 5.3 is undoubtedly faster and more responsive, I feel it is an inferior product overall and as such, a bit of a disappointment. There are two major flaws with this phone; the first is poor WiFi performance. With my previous Moto G4, I could get WiFi signal almost anywhere in the house. The Nokia 5.3 struggles, failing to pick up signal even half as far from the router, and even when close to the router suffers with frequent drop outs and reconnects. The second major flaw is the built-in speaker, which is so poor as to be unfit for purpose. I'm not expecting miracles from a smartphone speaker, but the G4's speaker was far superior. The 5.3 suffers from serious distortion which is most severe at low volume levels. An internet search will show this is a known problem with this device. Fortunately sound quality through the headphone jack is very good by contrast. The phone's display is adequate, reasonably bright but again inferior to what I had before. It's slightly bigger overall, but a little too cold and a misses FHD resolution. I don't actually miss the resolution too much on a screen of this size, but the colour balance and flatness is more of an issue. I do really miss the peek notifications from Motorola which show briefly on the display when you life the device. The Nokia has the function of tapping the screen twice quickly to view notifications, but it is a clumsier implementation, and often the screen fails to respond to several tap attempts. The fingerprint reader is the first I've used, I find it's generally fine but can't cope with even slightly wet or fingers with a bit of flour or plaster on them for example, though this may be universal. On the plus side performance is pretty good, fairly fast to do everyday tasks and browsing, and battery life is generally good, though I find the battery drains quite quickly and a little inconsistently as measured by the phone when it reaches its final third of capacity. The camera is one thing that is probably superior to my previous device, though it still suffers with the usual issues that present themselves with cheaper smartphone cameras, eg. poor low light performance and lack of motion stabilisaton. But it does do well in good conditions and I think it's fine at this price point. Compared to my previous device I am a bit disappointed overall - I paid £126 for the Nokia and about the same for the Moto G4 in late 2016, but the G4 was a better device. I do have to recognise, however, that the equivalent Moto now with FHD display and comparable performance is probably the G Power series, which is considerably more expensive at nearer £200. So with a general uplift in price for a similar spec over the past few years, direct comparisons at the same price point are perhaps a little unfair. The 5.3 is perhaps better compared with Moto's G Play series. But if I don't want to spend more than I have done this time at my next upgrade, I will probably find myself returning to Motorola based on this experience. It's a shame as I had nothing but Nokias in the 2000s, and I wanted to return to a brand I always equated with good quality, but this HMD-made device, whilst good in several ways, should not - in my opinion - have been signed off with such poor speaker and WiFi performance. If these features are important to you I cannot recommend the 5.3, otherwise I would advise only purchasing it when on sale, as I did.

This phone is a good budget option if you want a stock Android experience and updates for the next couple of years. Nokia have made a good all round device that won't break the bank. The only issue I have had is the camera software can be a bit slow when processing some images. The macro lense is also a waste of time as it struggles to produce clear images. The screen is pretty good although it does struggle in strong daylight. One thing you note this phone is big!! I haven't got massive hands and struggle with the width a bit.

Compré el Nokia 5.3 en noviembre de 2020. El teléfono estaba actualizado a la última versión oficial (Android 12 security update november 2022). Hoy he hecho un reseteo de fábrica (desde las opciones del teléfono) para poder darle el móvil a mi hijo, pero resulta que el teléfono ha entrado en un bucle de fast-boot del que no sale. Al parecer es un problema conocido con la última actualización del S.O. de Nokia, que están ignorando. Hace menos de tres años me compré un móvil nuevo, moderno por casi 200€, y por una actualización de S.O. recomendada de Nokia, ahora no puedo utilizar el teléfono, y la solución es que pague otros 80-100€ para que Nokia repare el problema que han generado ellos. Como plan de negocio no tiene precio, pero parece una práctica muy reprobable.

Good: Battery life. Price. Security updates not delivered on the dot but at least regularly. Mostly fast enough for me as a light business user. Bad: Slower than my Nokia 8 (3 years old) and not quite as touch responsive especially typing. Screen is taller than Nokia8 but doesn't feel anymore useful for it, eg spreadsheets are no better to work with; I would rather the shorter Nokia8 screen which fitted into pockets easier. Camera shots are mediocre; often blurry due to no stabilizer which is really frustrating during work and wastes alot of time; I have GCam too; Nokia8 gave better results with no fuss, though neither phone compares well to a good camera. I would not buy this again and opt for Motorola because they also have ok update reputation and are also better officially supported by LineageOS should I wish to use the phone after security updates have ended. Update: I had a problem with the speaker turning on during calls but this stopped after I shut down the phone and restarted.

Provengo dal mondo iPhone e ho messo un po di tempo per fare una ricerca che mi ha portato a questo telefono. Gli aspetti positivi sono: - batteria che dura tra 2 e 4 giorni - il programma di update garantiti - schermo enorme - possibilità di utilizzare launcher diversi (ho scelto quello di microsoft per integrare il telefono con il mio workflow) - dual sim + slot memoria - possibilità di gestire dal pc con il programma 'Your Phone' (fare/ricevere chiamate, messaggi, foto etc.) Negativo: - la camera app è lentissimo, quindi ho installato 'open camera' che è veloce, ma riconosce solo le due camere principale, per ora - il tasto a sinistra dedicato Google, che però si puo rimappare con 'Button Mapper' scaricabile in Google Play consiglio questo telefono a tutti chi cercano un modello valido senza voler spendere somme ridicoli.

Yes even though not a high end phone. I still serves me well. I would advice my friends to buy for it price.
