This is a lower price point unit, but it met my needs very well. It punched and bound my booklets very well and is solid and very sturdy metal construction. I liked the bar type handle because it allowed the use of two hands to activate the punch mechanism. The binding unit is at the top of the machine and works perfectly. I had no issues with operating it. There is a tray underneath to catch the paper chads. The unit was packed well, came with a small instruction sheet that was helpful. I am using this unit to bind patterns that I purchased on Etsy and it works perfectly. It has three paper size settings as shown in the photos. You can change the settings by turning a knob and sliding the paper edge guide to the line graphic on the bed. It comes with a large box of 3/8” binders in black. They are high quality and easy to cut to size with a regular scissors to fit letter size sheets or smaller. I am glad I did not spend more money on a more expensive unit as this perfectly met my needs.

Works great, I had to bind 200 pages, and even though I only did 8-10 sheets at a time it was really fast and easy. I would recommend it.

This worked perfectly right out of the box. Much better quality than I expected for $30, and I know it will get a lot of use in the future. I put together 50 booklets for church and only once had an issue with punching the holes, and that was 100% user error. I did find that "maximum 12 sheets" is truly that. No problems with punching 12 pages, but 13 (accident) was an effort. Took a minute to get a hang of the comb binding itself, but once I figured out how to place the comb and the correct positioning of the handle (need to open the comb just enough to place the pages on the teeth - too far and the pages can get out of whack before the comb gets through the whole booklet). Only complaint I had was that the printed guide for lining up pages to punch was off a bit. My first attempt used the guide suggested, and the bottom hole was at the very edge of the page (about an 1/8 inch between hole and edge of paper), while the top hole had lots of space. Played with it a bit and found the right position, which was not consistent with the printed guide on the machine. But I put the metal guide in the right position and then everything was fine. I put together 50 booklets of 35 pages each, so punched 3 sets for each booklet (150 punches) and bound 50. Only had to empty the tray at halfway point and then again at the end. In case anyone else has same question I did - yes, the combs are trimmable to the correct size. These booklets were 8.5 inches by 5 inches, so I didn't need the full 11 inch comb. I tried to order 8.5 inch combs and couldn't find any such thing, then realized that I could buy the full size and then trim to the size I needed. I bound each booklet with the full 11 inch comb, then trimmed it to size with a basic scissors after bound.

This is incredibly helpful for printing workbooks at home! It's basically a fancy hole puncher that allows you to add a spine to a stack of paper. It takes one screw to add the handle and it's set up. Really easy, no tools required. Helpful hints: Make sure the paper is setting flush every time, sometimes the paper scraps get stuck in the bottom, especially if you've overloaded it, and it can cause misalignment and a bad punch job. Word of warning about bigger bindings: we use electrical tape to keep the big bindings together otherwise the weight of the paper will bend the spine times and completely remove itself if you were to pull it by the spine off the bookshelf. (Don't know if that was clear, this tip has nothing to do with this product except making it super successful for you.)

This is working like a dream. I used to have one at work and when I retired I went without for a while. Great little machine for putting these small books together. The last one I put together was a crochet pattern that I printed off and then found it had about 20 or more pages. It is working so great as I put together a crocheted nativity!
