Can a microwave kiln be used to cure precious metal polymer clay projects?

I haven't tried the polymer clay, but metal in a microwave would concern me. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful

How do i prep my kiln for the first time? The direc tions say to mix glass kiln wash but nothing came with it and i am not sure what the wash is.

I have a similar kiln purchased from Hobby Lobby. It came with kiln paper. I did not use kiln wash and there was no problem. You must use kiln paper under your glass projects or it will stick to the kiln base. I have not used this one but I am going to do the same process as the Hobby Lobby kiln.

Because it's big it takes longer to melt the glass, yes? and after 4 minutes,the kiln paper and the kiln base turned darker. Is that ok?

Yes, it does take a minute or two longer to melt the glass. It's fine for the kiln paper to turn darker. My base did turn darker in a few small little spots. I think it's okay as long as the kiln still works. Have you had good luck with the kiln?
