Review: Good light. Bad presets - I want to give it 4.5 stars but that's not possible so I'll be nice. It's a great, powerful light, but that's all it has going for it. It's too powerful to leave at 100% and flush with the aquarium (how it comes unless you buy risers.) This causes algae in new tanks. You can only adjust lighting % temporality without going into custom mode. Their sunrise and sunset feature is horrible. Once again, it can't be changed without going into custom mode. It uses an hour and a half for both sunrise and sunset, slowly ramping up and down the lighting. This means if you set your light for 8 hours, you really only get 5 at max intensity. If you want 8 hours of light, you have to set the preset for 11 hours because of this. It's absolutely horrible in this way. If you don't want your light on for 11hours a day and causing algae issues than you just absolutely have to use custom mode. The custom mode is just annoying to deal with but it's the fact that it could just be SO much easier. Simply being asked if you want to use sunrise/sunset mode and being about to adjust the light intensity and have it stay there would be a good start. Overall, it's like Hygger got into the high end light business but forgot to we use them to grow plants. Overall, 4.5 out of 5. Maybe closer to a 4 if I wanted to be critical. A good light but the ease of use isn't nearly as good as it could be. Overly complicated to customize with horrible preset lighting settings and timers. All of which could have been avoided if thought out more.
Review: Bright and versatile - Just set this up on my 20g long today and I love it! The automated timer feature was really important to me because my work schedule doesn't always allow for me to be home to manually control the light on a consistent schedule. I'm also looking to have a planted tank in the near future which this will come in handy for. One thing to be careful about when first turning this on is that the white light is set to maximum brightness which may frighten your fish if you're coming from a cheaper light that doesn't get very bright. When I first turned it on, it was set to the red light at low intensity, it took a few button presses to get through the other colors (also at low intensity) before I got to the white light and it was SO bright...I felt like I died and was at the pearly gates, and so did my betta, he had a mini freakout lol. I dont think either of us have ever seen the tank that bright. Wasn't a bad thing but definitely a shocker. I had to pull the intensity down from 100 to about 70. Had I known about this before I probably would've turned it on and cycled to the white light before I sat it on the tank. Other than that, I set up the day/night timer within 30 minutes...I was a bit confused about how to work all the buttons and how they controlled all the settings at first so I had to read the manual a few times, but every piece of technology has it's learning curve so not complaining! Excited to see how this works out, so far it's a great investment. My betta and his soon to be tank mates will be very happy!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Using 4, works on a 150 gal deep tank (Fresh Water)
*by K***R on October 3, 2021*

My show tank, 2x2x5, is using 4 of these, the timer is good as the lights all cycle within seconds of each other. the light is keeping my plants on the bottom (and floating) alive. Because of the 5' length I could not fit long units and get the light I wanted, so I got a size I could put end to end. The Tank was originally for salt water and had dual metal halides, and they ran hot, 6 cooling fans in the hood, one off the ballasts was failing, so on prime day I ordered the 1st pair, using them on the side the ballast was dimming/dieing. With frequent power outages that decimated the marine creatures 3 years in a row, I converted to freshwater. The Fish looked better, the tank ran cooler, the plants lived, and energy usage went way down. That being successful I ordered 2 more (when the size came back in stock). Happy with the results. That said, why 4 stars? Well the 1st pair is awesome, it took a little while to get the feel of the controls and time settings, but once I had it they have been champs. The 2nd set not the same, one has a single green light in the row of blue when in night mode. Neither o the newer ones would do the SOP to reset, and when the cord is disconnected they lose their settings, though without the cord disconnect the remember time over short outages. A little more work, but they do what I want and would buy again (just hoping more like the original set). Last thing, the light is good for freshwater fish and plants, may even suffice for some marine uses, I would not recommend for use with corals unless it was a very shallow tank.
