Tour Response Golf Balls (2020 Version)

Friend at my Club recommended these. Quality golf ball at a reasonable price. Every bit as good at ball costing more. Great distance, good soft feel putting and wonderful spin around the greens. I am an older senior single digit golfer and this ball performs very well.

Go ahead and spend the extra $20/dozen on a Pro-V1 or TP5. Unless you're a pro or high swing-speed low-handicap, you're throwing your money away. This ball is long, checks up nicely on high iron shots, putts great, and is good on chips and short pitches (the only area where the premium balls slightly outperform it). I just ordered my second dozen (still have 8 left after 54 holes). I shoot in the 80s. Perfect for older players with non-Tour swing speeds.

I thought I'd try these TaylorMade Tour Response golf balls. I'm 67 play to a 6 handicap still have the ability to average 235 yards off the tee thats carry and hit a 7 iron about 160 yards. I found comparing them to the Pro V1 Titleist I play the pro V1 is 8 to 10 yards longer off the tee and I loose 6 yards on iron shots. On shots with irons to the green the Pro V1 had much better spin to hold the greens. The TaylorMade Tour Response is about $10 cheeper per dozen so if value is your main concern the Tour Response could be a better choice or if your a higher handicap you may not get the benefits out of the Pro V1. I found for me the Callaway ERC golf ball is close to the distance of the pro V1 minus the stopping spin on shots to the green and is a little cheaper than the TaylorMade. But the Pro V1 is the best ball I've played and for me is worth the higher price.

These Tour Response balls are perfect for my game in that they are long and straight off the driver, provide enough spin for my iron shots and I putt better with them than any other ball. I have around 90mph driver swing speed yet I produce more distance with this ball than just about any other ball but it is with the putter that I see enough difference to justify the higher price than the two other cheaper balls I also play with.

I usually play the high end T golf balls, but decided to try these. Amazing feel and very responsive ball. Very similar to my normal choice, but better spin control, in my opinion. I may switch for good after I test for a few more rounds.

Ball has a good feel off my irons and putter. Good distance off the driver and descent spin off the wedge. Reasonable price for a ball of this quality🏌🏾‍♂️🤙🏾

Can’t fault these balls. Long off the tee and really grippy on iron/wedge shots. Great feel on putts too. Despite being a soft ball, the outer shell doesn’t damage that easy so after a full rounds use, a few branches and a path hit, it still kept its new look.

These balls come at a very reasonable price and still offer excellent performance. You could buy the TP5 for another £15 to £20 but you may be like me and not get any significant benefit. This genuinely is a very good ball. I'm playing off 2 and have been very happy with it.
