Makes water changes way easier.
If you're tired of lugging buckets around during water changes, just get this. I’ve been using two of these Python systems for a while now—one strictly for draining and one for filling—and it’s made aquarium maintenance so much faster and cleaner. Setup is simple, and the 50-foot length easily reaches from my tanks to the nearest sink. No spills, no mess. The suction is strong enough to vacuum the gravel well, and I love that I can do partial water changes without disturbing the fish too much. Having two separate systems also keeps things clean—no risk of cross-contaminating dirty water into the refill line. It’s a little investment up front, but it saves time, effort, and your back in the long run. Highly recommend to anyone with medium to large tanks.

So easy to use, the pregnant woman does water changes!
After reading reviews on this Python water changer and the Aqueon one, I was rather torn between the two. Eventually, I went with the Python and haven't regretted my decision at all. I'm currently 8 months pregnant and have no issues doing water changes for our 55 gallon tank which would have been pretty much impossible for me if I'd had to haul buckets back and forth. If you want the short and sweet version, just buy this now. It's the best investment I have made other than the fish themselves. A few notes below... 1) I have a Delta kitchen faucet and there was no way to connect it to this, not even with adapters from home improvement stores, just due to how the aerator is supposed to seal on the faucet. Well, it could connect, but it leaked like crazy and was far less effective. Thankfully, I was able to use the brass adapter that came with the product on my bathroom faucet and that's the one I use for the water changes now. 2) I've noticed that the suction isn't the greatest, regardless of whether I leave the water running in the bathroom while vacuuming or not (you can turn the water off once the suction has been established). It's manageable but I find myself reaching for my normal siphon and a bucket to "pre-clean" if there are particularly dirty areas. This is probably due to there not being a great difference in height between the tank and bathroom sink. Again, works well enough most of the time, just not when I'm feeling really OCD about seeing debris sitting on top of my sand. 3) The hose itself is very pliable which is awesome and makes the process very easy. 50 feet is a bit of a pain to roll up again, though. I am tempted to get a hose reel but that may or may not work well since I have to go pretty slowly and raise the coil above the sink level to get it to drain excess water in the hose when I'm finished. Minor annoyance given how much time and effort this thing saves me otherwise. 4) Construction is solid. Yes, some pieces are plastic but they're pretty heavy duty. As long as you don't try to he-man the connection when you screw it on, you can get a tight fit with no leaks and no plastic cracking or breaking. Even if you do, there are replacement parts which is great and saves me from having to buy an entirely new one in the future. 5) I saw a few complaints about the refill process, but again, no issues for me. I temperature match the water, reverse the flow so it starts to fill the tank and let it run. You can continue temperature testing if your water supply can't hold a steady temperature, but that's not the fault of the device. As it fills, I occasionally add 1/4 tsp of Seachem Prime until I reach the total dose for my tank. If you have a saltwater tank, well... your mileage will probably vary. Overall, I'd say I can be done with a 50% water change in 15 or 20 minutes. Totally worth it and I'm sure my fish are happier with more regular and quicker water changes!

So much easier than buckets!
First of all, I have to say that this came with the perfect sink adapter to fit my sink. Second of all, This has made water changes significantly easier! It does waste a little water, as it powers the suction by using the running sink water up, and the more the faucet is turned, the more suction power. But the water wasted isn't much compared to the physical labor spent! I used to fill 5 gallon buckets of turtle water and dump them in the shower because I couldn't make it outside, and then I would take a hose and stick it through my bedroom window into the house to fill it up (risking animals getting outside and bugs coming in) Now I can drain and fill my turtle tank without needing a second person to help me watch the animals and make sure none are getting out. The python also fills the tank much quicker than the hose did surprisingly. It did take me some time to figure out how to use it, as I'm bad at reading instructions (so I kinda just figured it out on my own) but with the help of someone spotting the tank to holler at me if it was working or not, I figured it out in less than 5 minutes. I have bad hips and my friend has bad arms, so carrying 5 gallons of water halfway across the house was way too much stress on our joints. The python has made this so much easier, and I wish I would've made this purchase sooner. $80 seems like a lot at first, but it definitely is worth it in the long run. It saves a ton of stress and time. So far it also is holding up quite well. I will update this review if the hose ever breaks or anything like that. I know I have a cat who loves biting into rubber, so I hope there are replacement parts out there. And now I do the weekly/bi-weekly water changes as I'm supposed to do to keep my turtles happy and healthy! With the bucket method it was too much stress on the body to do bi-weekly water changes..

Makes Aquarium Water Changes So Much Easier
The Python No-Spill Clean & Fill system has completely changed how I do water changes. It attaches easily to a faucet and lets you siphon out dirty water and refill clean water without spills or bending over buckets. The flow control is great. I can slow it down or speed it up depending on what I need. Setup is quick, and the hose fits my tank and stand height perfectly. It’s sturdy, reliable, and saves a lot of time and mess compared to traditional bucket changes.

Universal adapter… questionable. The whole thing except the air pump can be built for eur20 from any hardware store. I did not manage to create enough suction from my gravity fed system to empty an aquarium. The taps connected to the main can’t be attached to the “universal” adapter. So far I am planning on returning it. Will probably go to the hardware store and see if I can find another adapter but…

I heard about this product for years but as I live in Australia it's not sold here so I never gave it much thought. After years of struggling with buckets, I saw many YouTube videos of North American fish keeper using the Python to change water with ease. I had a look on amazon and saw prime has these at a reasonable price including shipping to Australia, so I bought one. I have not looked back since, its the best money I have spent on a fish keeping accessory in my 15 years in the hobby. Note as I live in Australia, I had to buy adaptors to connect to our taps/hoses. I used both the hoselink us caravan adaptors and Bunnings north American sprinkler adaptor. Both worked with no issues, however the sprinkler adaptor connected to our garden hoses was the easiest. I now do 75-90 % water changes on all my 200litre+ tanks with ease. I use water conditioner (dose for the entire tank once) as the water is going into the tank and have had no issues (including with baby fish and my sensitive German blue rams). My nitrates are super low and tanks crystal clear. You can do less say 50% if you are worried about shocking your fish. In my opinion after filters and air stones, this is the most important accessory you could buy for a freshwater tank of greater than say 60 liters. Get one, it's worth the effort of adapting it your tap/water system. It will save your back and your fish will be much happier.

So easy. 50ft of hose. You can also buy a hook separately for this. I have it hooked to my bathroom sink. Just had to take the aerator off. All you gotta do is put the vacuum in the tank and go turn the tap on until the water goes all the way to the tap and then you can turn of the tap. The suction is good enough to keep sifting the water. No need to waste water!! Most people dont know this. Once your done emptying, either put the hook on or if you dont have one, switch the green part on the tap part to fill and turn the tap back on. Add your conditioner directly to your tank before your start filling. Great quality hose, attachment are useful. All fish keepers with tanks bigger than 20 gallon tanks should have this!

The Python No Spill Clean and Fill Aquarium Maintenance System is an absolute game-changer for anyone with a fish tank! It has completely transformed the way I handle water changes — what used to be a messy, time-consuming chore is now quick, clean, and incredibly efficient. This tool makes the whole process so convenient. No more heavy lifting, buckets, spills, or cleanup — just attach it, turn it on, and you’re good to go. It siphons and refills with ease, all without disturbing the fish or creating a mess around the tank. It’s honestly one of the best aquarium tools I’ve ever purchased. If you’re serious about maintaining a clean and healthy tank without the hassle, I highly recommend this product. It saves time, effort, and keeps everything tidy — couldn’t ask for more!
