Review: A great companion book to the Grade 8 exercise workbook - I bought this book along with the Grade 8. Although the common core standards are in full effect, if you really read the standards, some of the same concepts (or all depending on the grade) are required to be taught (just with different outcomes). I love to teach grammar within a specific context, such as a writing project, but to often students do not make connections until the topic is directly taught. This is a great resource to have.
