I’ve had this Ninestars rose gold trash can in my office since 2023, and it has been one of my favorite functional decor pieces. Here is how it’s holding up after nearly three years of daily use: The Battery Miracle: I honestly don't think I’ve changed the batteries since I bought it nearly 3 years ago! It runs on 2 AA batteries, and the efficiency of the sensor is mind-blowing. Touchless Sensor & Lid Closure: The "futuristic" non-touch sensor still works perfectly. It detects motion quickly, and the lid closure is consistent—it doesn’t get stuck or hang open. There is also a small manual handle in the middle of the lid if you prefer to pull it open yourself and turn off the sensor. Capacity & Cleanliness: For a smaller office or bathroom-sized can, this holds a lot. It helps maintain office/room cleanliness by keeping trash tucked away and out of sight. Build & Durability: The base is a very sturdy metal, while the lid is plastic. It has survived moves and daily bumps without a single dent. Lid Stability: Even though the lid is plastic, it’s quite stable and sits flush on the metal base. My only minor note is that over the years, the plastic has faded slightly, so it doesn't perfectly match the metal base anymore, but you really have to look for it to notice. Value for Money: Considering I haven't had to maintain it or buy new batteries in 3 years, the value for money is incredible. It looks high-end but is tough and sturdy!

We moved to a small town that bans the flushing of flushable wipes in the toilet. I needed a trash can in the bathroom beside the toilet that automatically opens to dispose of these and other bathroom trash. I could not have found a better trash can, and I spent hours looking for one on Amazon and reading all of the reviews. This one is perfect in every way and I would not change anything about it. I can’t imagine anyone giving this one other than a perfect review. I had purchased a different kind initially and within a week it was dented. This one does not dent. The quality is excellent. It works flawlessly and it actually is beautiful and not an eyesore. It comes in multiple colors and it is reasonablely priced compared to others I have looked at and I hope they continue to offer it at this price. I have been so impressed by it that I have now purchased 4 of them, including one for the screened in back porch. Even though the 3 gallon size sounds small, it really is not and it works great. The trash bags on Amazon that I purchase for these are about $5.00 for multiple rolls and work very well. For people that have septic tanks that do not want to flush toilet paper, this would be an excellent choice. They have a plastic rim that holds the trash bag in place and no odors escape the trash can. When I replace the trash bag, I spray some Febreeze in the bottom of the can to prevent any odors and there have been none. The first one I purchased was about 6 months ago and I use it everyday and the original batteries I placed are still going strong. I even now have one by my bed and I don’t have to worry about things accidentally falling into it and my bedside table no longer has candy wrappers from my midnight snack that I have to dispose of everyday in another room. My favorite part is that I never have to touch the trash can for it to open and close. I just wave my hand over it and it opens for a few seconds and then it closes perfectly. I highly recommend this. You will not regret this purchase and you can use it in so many different areas in your home.

This bin took a while to get here but I’m so glad I ordered it, it’s a lovely shiny purple colour and is easy to set up yo just pop the batteries (which it doesn’t come with) and secure the bag with the liner ring and then pop the top on, just move your hand over the sensor the lid comes up pop your rubbish in and then the lid closes, you have the option to turn this on and off with the button and I believe there is an option for the lid to stay open longer but I’ve not used this yet

Awesome touchless garbage can for bathroom! This sits between my sink and toilet. It works wonderfully. Great response with just 2AA batteries!! My previous model from a different manufacturer would open anytime someone sat on the toilet... like the sensor was too sensitive. This version does not have that issue. ***This garbage can is not suitable for under the sink. The sensor won't allow the lid to close when placed under a kitchen sink.
