Silverline 633488 Worktop Jig, 900 mm

Arrived cracked and corners dinged in from a combination poor material choice and improper packing. Outside is plastic board with mdf core. Mdf isn't great because it's soft. Hopefully won't affect functionality but definitely don't expect this thing to hold up.

So to be fair, these jigs seem primarily designed for the UK and European style countertops. This one comes preconfigured for metrically sized worktops. I used mine on two bartop style laminated countertops that were 27 inches wide. I also did some test trials on 3/4 mdf and cabinet grade plywood. This jig does allow you to cut a nice crisp Mason's mitre. At least at first. But the male and female ends NEVER match. I spent an entire day playing with this thing with very spotty results. First the materials used in it's construction are too cheap and this thing actually flexes quite a bit which resulted in at least two failed cuts. The holes for the pins crumbled with each use which meant the pins became more and more unstable and pretty much useless for alignment purposes. I relied instead on a large square and some painstaking measurements. I haven't given up on these types of jigs as I think the old 45 degree joints are just too obvious but steer clear of this one.

Dato il prezzo è davvero ottima. Svolge il suo lavoro in modo ottimo. Unico neo, forse un po' troppo flessibile (é in MDF), ma con un paio di morsetti si risolve tutto e poi visto il prezzo non credo potevano farla in alluminio.

Bought this jig to fit my own kitchen, although I have used one in the past, it was cheaper to buy my own rather than employ a fitter for just two joints. The instruction are clear and dead simple to follow. Good quality too, and delivery was very prompt, two days.

Producto bastante bueno. Lo único que no tiene el agujero para cortar encimera de 62 y hay que ir con cuidado con golpear la guía con la fresa porque es un poco delicada.
