Fitbit Charge 3 Fitness Activity Tracker

I bought a Charge 3 in July 2019... by early October of that year it had failed... To be fair to FitBit they did provide a replacement unit within a week or so... However, by about August of 2020 the watch had again begun to fail with the face displaying many missing pixels (intermittent lines missing). There had also been problems with connecting to my Android. As such I decided not to ask for yet another replacement and have moved to a different digital watch / tracker. Crawford.

If I could give this 0 I would. It started off fine, then I began to have sync issues. I would have to uninstall the app from my phone and reinstall, frequently. This started after about a year to 15 months. Finally it would not sync at all. Then it started to get fainter and fainter. I changed the clock faces, rebooted did everything that is suggested and now all I have is something that is barely visible at all. Multiple complaints to their Customer Help Line (which is actually not at all helpful) and all they could say was you are out of warranty so we will send you a voucher for 30% off a new one. This watch lasted barely two years, and for the price I would expect it to last a lot longer. It has never been dropped, bashed around or treated badly, but still it has pretty much given up. It is useless as a timepiece as no time is displayed at all now, and on a good day i can just about see the steps etc In fact I only wear it out of habit as I feel undressed without a watch. My advice is don't bother and buy something else. As for their so called helpdesk, all they do is read off a list of predefined questions and answers they are unable to deviate from this and are unable to think for themselves or come up with a solution apart from giving you a discount code for a new watch. Why would you want another when the first gives up after barely two years???

Given that I just got it, it is just awesome. It is so light on the hand you dont even feel like you are wearing it plus its very comfy. I just hope it can last a long time and give as little problems as possible XD

Y la razón por la que lo compre que fue para tener registro del ejercicio y calorías está genial, cumple perfecto su función.

I bought this Fitbit as a present for my husband and he absolutely loves it. He is able to connect with friends who have Fitbit. He is motivated to be more active.

My Charge 2 died after three years....not bad the way I see it. So, where do I go from here. The Charge 4 was released a month earlier, but the reviews were mediocre at best and I did not need GPS on my wrist. I looked at other brand name trackers. Many now have a large face with impressive display and color but for me......I like minimalism or at least something that is not out to make statement with options I would never use. My focus is activity tracking, mostly steps and heart rate. Sleep monitoring is a plus. BTW the quality of your sleep cannot be underestimated. I came to select the Charge 3. I like it thus far. The face is upgraded from the Charge 2 with touch functionality that took a short time to fully discover and master. I now have it synced with my android phone. Texts and email alerts come across successfully and right now I like the novelty of that functionality. What I’m not sure about is the exercise tracking selection (running, cycling, swimming, walk, treadmill). I tried using it for a bike ride. Being a cyclist I have a separate GPS device attached to my bike. But nice to have the tracker know what I’m doing. Well I’m not sure how successful it was. My ride was nearly 90 minutes long with over 20 miles covered. I started it at the beginning of my ride but when I went to end the session, it appeared that it had stopped itself. Not sure when or how much of my ride time was logged. Overall, I’m satisfied with the Charge 3. I can recommend it If you are not looking for an ultra sophisticated device and want something smaller on your wrist. The price is not prohibitive either. For step tracking, heart rate, time, phone syncing for messages, and ease of use it is a good device. BTW I’ve had it on over the past 5 days without having to charge it. Not bad.
