I prefer the design to the Taj Mahal set by Lego because Lego's has many, many tiny 1x1 flat tiles which are impossible to get straight and because the religious symbol at the top of the tallest spire (of Lego set) is incorrect (this one is far more appropriate/accurate.) 5 stars because of the price to pieces value, and they give you extra pieces - including the bespoke things like the top spire. That said, they are not the best non-Lego bricks. Building the first part - the base - is kinda miserable because the bricks are stiff and do not mesh together well. After that it is less of a problem. If your main reason for buying lego type sets is the building experience, I would only get this if - like me - you really want a taj mahal set and don't wanna pay far far more for Lego's. I wouldn't get this if you have a child just starting out, or you'll complain because it isn't as good as a Lego set costing 4x more.

This set was AWESOME. I was skeptical, due to the negative reviews, but I went ahead and ordered this set. I understood what the negative reviews were going into the assembly. I realized if you follow the directions to the tee, and ensure that all the pieces fit together tightly, there is no issues. It does secure to the baseplate so it is not thar difficult to move from place to place if you are careful. For it not to be the big brand it is well constructed. For the price, it is a bargain. I will most definitely use this company again. So if your up for the challenge and dont want to spend an arm and a leg. You WILL be satisfied with the end result, just be patient and follow the instructions. Also it is a lot easier to get a sorting tray to sort all the pieces prior to starting it. What I did is put all the two by too flats together prior to starting the build. It made it a lot easier, it is a bit repetitive, but we'll worth it!

Great set, fun to build, great value, and I even learned some things about the Colosseum thanks to the booklet :-)

If I could return this I would! The instructions are not very clear and it’s not stable enough for it to be placed on properly! My son loves legos and can build any Lego in minutes but this off brand Legos like he says gives you stress, headaches and anxiety! This literally fell apart multiple times! And we half assed it for a project he needed it for! Super upset about this one! Remember you get what you pay!
