Somewhat pricey for a level, but I appreciate the accuracy. Let’s see how it maintains that accuracy over time.

I've been building with aluminium for twenty years now and I have been through my share of levels. This one is by far the best. By far Aluminum is very unforgiving because it is perfectly straight and anything shy of perfectly level and plumb sticks out like a sore thumb. I got to a point where I felt that I deserved to have the best level that money could buy, and after much research, I landed on this one. Good choice. This level is nice and bright for easy location, and the vials are nice and bright for easy reading. It is a little heavier than any that I have had prior, but I like the feel of it in my hand. It kind of lends a subconscious confidence in it's purpose. I could, however, see how someone may prefer a lighter level for easier handling while up on ladders and whatnot. It just means having to buy more levels over time as the lighter the level the more frequently they will lose true. With the fantastic lifetime warranty and replaceable rubber ends this decision was easy to make. If level and plumb pay your bills, or you just like to have the best, this is likely your best choice. I would say that I will always buy Stabila, but this will, barring theft, likely be the last one I will ever have to buy (although I would like to have the mini for those tight areas). Stabila for me for life.

I liked this so much that I added a 24 inch and torpedo level along with a case. Good design, easy to use, and true.

Built very well, has weight to it and of course it works great as well, but buy once cry once, enjoy forever after that. Highly recommend!

Back in my days of being a full-time carpenter we always had Stabila levels on the job-site. One hot summer day we put up a new wall on a second story of the house we were building, and I accidentally kicked our 6-foot Stabila level off the scaffolding giving it a 10 foot nasty fall to the ground. The level took a beating hitting a tree stump first, then hitting on the ends before landing against the concrete foundation. We checked the level after picking it up off the ground...and it read level horizontally and vertically. Since that day in the hot sun after watching that level having a nasty fall approximately 10 feet to the ground, Stabila levels have been my go-to levels. They are tough levels with great dependability, you get what you pay for.!

They really do make the best levels. Sure they cost more but it’s cheaper than having to start a project over because you used a bad level. Invest now and save later. Although, I do prefer the 72” model.

Have these in all my service vans and at home in my personal tools. Excellent quality and very accurate.
