Overall great set of headphones used specifically for work or travel
tl;dr I would buy these again and recommend them to others for work use. I'm a Windows and Android based user so this is the perspective I'm coming from. I can't comment on other OS experiences, but for me my overall experience has been a good one. I use these all day long and have for the last month. Fit wise I like that they have slightly larger ear cups than several other similarly purposed headsets I own. They feel a little warmer more quickly on my ears than others, but not by much. And really after having these or any headset on my head for 6-8 hours straight it doesn't really matter at that point. My ears are going to be warm regardless. I also like that these are super lightweight and fold up relatively small. I see myself using these as my traveling go-to headset once I'm traveling again. (boo covid) The ANC works great and in most situations I have it turned to the adaptive setting, which can be adjusted via phone app. The mic monitoring or "side tone" is OK. I wish it could be turned up higher, but this is a minor gripe. For example the Plantronics Voyager 8200UC's mic monitoring is louder and more pronounced. It is still definitely loud enough to hear yourself and not have to pull the one ear on and one ear off routine. My personal preference would be to make the max mic monitoring volume maybe top out at ~1.5x what it is now so the user can adjust it down as needed. Who knows maybe that will be done via a future firmware update? Microsoft Team's works great with these. The call quality is good, but becomes game changing-ly good after enabling the "Call Enhancement" feature. I can't stress that enough. Turn that feature on now! If you close your eyes while on a call, hopefully not when you are video conferencing, it does sound like you are talking to someone in the same room and is exceptionally clear. Speaking of call quality nobody has had any issues hearing me. For a boom-less design these do really well. I tested out the mic's noise cancelling ability via various background noises. Even with a fan blowing directly into my face I can still be understood albeit more "grainy" sounding as the fan's noise is being removed and my voice left in. Pretty cool stuff. If you have a loud keyboard... well... it does what it can, but no boom-less design will be able to completely kill mx blue switches... let's just be honest. It does do an OK job, but keyboard clicks will be picked up if you are rolling with some loud switches. Using the USB dongle to a laptop and a phone via Bluetooth gives a good experience once paired, but I do have two gripes: Number one is the pairing process. If you plug in the dongle first BEFORE pairing to your phone be prepared to be frustrated. My experience is it simply would not allow me to pair to my phone with the dongle active. It would go into pairing mode and my phone would see the device, but it would just give an generic unable to pair message. As soon as the dongle is unplugged I could pair with no problems and plugging the dongle back in worked as expected. Maybe this will get fixed via a future firmware update, but it was frustrating to hit this. So just be aware of this and the simple solution of unplugging the dongle when attempting to pair to a phone. Number two is the Windows/PC audio interrupt. By this I mean when a sound is played on the PC it interrupts the phone Bluetooth audio. For example a Teams meeting starts on the PC. The PC should take priority over the Bluetooth audio in this situation. This works and if I'm playing music on my phone it is paused and the meeting audio takes over. An example problem sound could be with an email arrival notification that is played on the PC. It also interrupts the Bluetooth audio. So it totally makes sense that this should interrupt and it should be played, but this should ONLY happen when the PC volume is NOT muted. Even with the PC volume muted it STILL interrupts the Bluetooth audio. This is one super annoying thing that should not work this way and I'm hoping this will be addressed in the future. With the Plantronics Voyager 8200UC if I muted the PC audio it did not interrupt the phone Bluetooth audio when emails arrived and a sound was played. Overall though I really like these. For business use they are great and would highly recommend them for someone who is in and out of Microsoft Teams meetings all day. For background music or streaming while working these are also great. Also no complaints on the battery life or the wireless range.

Seriously disappointed
Bought these because they claim to be Teams certified. I have never had a set set of headphones that are more unstable than these. I have lost count of the number of times I have started a Teams call and found I have no audio. If I view the Windows mixer, I can see that there is sound being sent to the headphones, I just can't hear anything and no one can hear me. The same thing with YouTube or my phone (Bluetooth). If you are OK having to do this to at least once a day: - unplug/plug the dongle. - shut down and re-launch Teams - power cycle the headphones - reboot PC Then these are the headphones for you. When they work, the sound quality is great and the noise cancellation is top notch. Save your money. I'm going back to my JBL Club 950 NC. Had minor sound quality issues when connecting to multiple Bluetooth devices at the same time, but at least they always worked.

Wonderful headset, a keeper, Works with phone and laptop, partly works with Microsoft Teams
Headset wonderful, Microsoft sucks On my first day with this headset, working from a very noisy home with multiple children including a toddler, stay at home wife and a dog. For the first time, while working with the headset on, I have really no idea what the family is doing. Conversations are muffled and lost in the background of my music. Due to great quality noise cancelling, i don't need much volume on the headset to hear meetings or my music while working. Also, the smart mic on this headset doesn't pick up much of the family sounds when I'm on a call. My colleagues say that my sound quality is excellent. This headset also worked flawlessly with both of my phones the first time I tried with each. Microsoft sucks so badly, this headset is certified for Microsoft teams, so you would think it would work the first time, flawlessly with the teams desktop app or the web app on a windows 10, company provided laptop, right? WRONG. In order to use with microsoft teams and other conferencing or softphone apps on a microsoft windows 10 laptop, for some stupid reason a USB dongle is required. Don't ask me why microsoft requires a dongle when this headset works just fine with my phones over a direct bluetooth connection. So I plugged in the dongle and the headset simply does not work with microsoft teams desktop app. When I make a call or join a meeting using the desktop app, the call immediately hangs up or backs me out of the meeting. I'm very techical (an analyst-programmer), have put apps and websites into production and done backend programming. I tried all kinds of troubleshooting, dropping all other bluetooth connections, resetting devices etc. This headset is no go with microsoft teams desktop app. I even contacted EPOS support they wanted me to reinstall the firmware on this brand new headset ( so you are shipping headsets with old firmare???), but that requires admin rights on my laptop which my employer won't give me . And I don't have any other microsoft computers in my house because Microsoft really sucks. Microsoft & Epos are you listening? So I tried the teams webapp. Now the headset does work very well with the microsoft teams webapp, and my colleagues reported that the audio quality was terrific. So since I need this headset to protect me from my noisy, distracting family, I will just use the teams webapp and forget about the teams desktop app I guess. By the way, this is the umpteenth time that microsoft has wasted my time or required strange workarounds due to their shoddy software. I only use microsoft if someone pays me a lot, and I will advise them to eliminate all microsoft products from the enterprise for many reasons.

Far from perfect, but a good option
Here are the features that I was looking for when I found the EPOS 660: -Over ear design, lightweight, incognito -PC dongle for a reliable wireless connection (the integrated bluetooth chips in PCs are not intended for use with the bluetooth chips in headphones) -Dual PC and iPhone connectivity -Hardwired option w/ mic for when the wireless tech inevitably fails (most wireless headphones allow wired listening, but not talk) -Ability to mute and unmute Teams calls -Ability to completely turn off ANC (ANC gives me a headache) -Hear Through/Talk Through/whatever they call it -Side tone The 660 delivers on most of these items. They are comfortable, well made, discrete, and I love that the mic functions when hardwired via USB or TRRS. There is also a dedicated switch to turn ANC on/off (and off is truly off, unlike many competitors). The audio quality is also totally fine for my needs, and the dual connectivity works most of the time. They also have a PC dongle setting called "Dictation Mode" which removes the audio delay that you normally get on other Bluetooth headsets that makes watching training videos difficult. On the downside, the Teams integration is very spotty and I am constantly unplugging the USB dongle and restarting the headphones in order to establish a connection and get the mute function to work. The dongle also has terrible range: I get just 25ft line of sight. The headphone's connection to the iOS app is ridiculously slow and settings changes through the app do not appear to be transmitted to the headphones. The dedicated Teams button doesn't do anything at all. Enabling hear through/talk through or whatever they call it is difficult and it's hard to tell when it is working (Apple is the only company that has nailed this tech thus far, both in sound quality and ease of use). The side tone feature is not very useful due to poor sound quality, a noticeable delay, and it's too quiet. Last but not least, the power switch is triggered by rotating the earcups, and it is supremely annoying. I'm constantly turning them off by accident and then I have to reconnect the PC dongle. A physical button is 10x better. In summary, I tried a lot of other headphones before settling on the EPOS 660, and I am willing to accept the tradeoffs for the sub-$300 price. I'd spring for the Bose 700 with their dongle, but Bose won't let you turn off their ANC, and they better be perfect at that price. The Surface 2 headphones are a great deal if you don't mind the slippery rotating dials and ANC (Microsoft won't let you turn their ANC off, either). I think EPOS could have a real winner here if they put more effort into their software.

Good headphone for my needs
I use the headphone throughout workdays and primarily for conference calls, and listening to music, and sometimes streaming shows. My requirements for the headphones are: 1) Mic quality and noise isolation so others can hear me well 2) Bluetooth dongle for a better connection with the PC 3) Connect to more than one device via Bluetooth at a time 4) Comfort for wearing it 5 to 8 hours at a time. I already know that only over-the-ear or on-the-ear headphones would work for me for prolong usage 5) Less critical but would like a unit that I may use for work, as well as occasional outdoor usage or travel I have been using EPOS Adapt 660 for about a month and I like it. a few pros and cons: Pros: - Comfortable for hours at a time. Ears do not feel hot. Then again, I am mostly indoors and it is not summertime yet. Since I have a bigger head, while it is still comfortable enough, I would prefer that the headband may extend slightly more if possible. Not a bit deal. - I do not need noise cancellation typically as I am usually indoors and the over-the-ear design already sufficient in muffling the external noises for me. I did try it with the vacuum cleaner running close by, and the ANC function works well in that case. - Mic quality is good. Once in a while, I need to adjust the position of the headphone on my head to get a clearer mic reception (according to people on the other end of the calls). That's just the way I position the headphone, hence directional mic, so I cannot blame the product - Sound quality is good for me. Better than my old Plantronics Voyager UC. But I am not an audiophile - Construction is pretty solid. The connection between the over-the-ear pieces and the headband is metal and sturdy. - The headphone is relatively lightweight. The Over-the-ear pieces are not too big, unlike some other models. Cons: - The Team button does not work for me. I configured it with the PC software and the button still does nothing. Tried to change it between Skype and Team but still nothing. I would like to get this functioning but it is not that critical to me though. I am used to Voyager UC Focus which does not have such a button to begin with. - After ~8 hours of calls and music, the battery says more than 40% left. Sufficient for me but seems less than advertised. But I have not tried to run the battery to empty to confirm. - The remaining-battery level reporting from the headphone vs the mobile app is different. I am not certain which one to believe. For example, at this very moment, my 660 is reporting “more than 60% available”, when the iOS app is reporting “100%” battery available. Also, the 660 reports “more than 80% available” even after I charged the 660 overnight. I have not been able to get the 660 to report “100%”. I suppose technically 100% is “more than 80%” - I would like to have more options to change the treble, bass, mid-range, etc instead of only the presets of "Theater", "voice", etc. The Custom option is not sufficient. Generally, I like higher treble and keep the rest regular. I don't have that option here. Not a show stopper. - Perhaps I am old school, but I would prefer a physical on/off button instead of turning the earpiece 90 degrees. When I put the headphone around my neck temporarily I need to flatten them to fit well -- that turns off the headphone. When I put it back on I need to wait a sec for the reconnections. - Would be nice to have USB-C for charging instead Here is a bit of info on my selection journey before settling on the EPOS Adapt 660. I was using Platrornic Voyager UC Focus before but it was getting old and started having some Mic issues after two years. I looked into Bose 700, Bose QC35 II, Jabra Evolve2 85, Jabra Evolve2 65, and a few others before settling. I would like to have a boom mic as it typically allows the other end to hear me better. Prefer a retractable one. But the mic test videos from various reviews convinced me that Bose 700, and EPOS 660, and Evolve2 85 have enough directional Mics that they may work well enough. Evolve2 85 looks promising and the sound test seems good especially with the boom mic extended. However, I have a concern that the boom mic looks a bit flimsy. It may break easier. Also, the earpiece seems quite big on my relatively bigger head. Not to mention the price tag. I have a similar concern for the boom mic for Evolve2 65. Also if I were to consider Evolve2 65, I would probably get the Voyager UC Focus again instead as that is sturdy and both are on-the-ear design. QC35II is an older model but got a lot of good reviews. However, Mic seems to be lacking, and also a lot of complaints about overheating. Most importantly, Bose does not have the USB dongle (well, at least does not come with it and costs a lot to buy separately). So I narrowed it down to the 660, Bose 700 w/ extra USB dongle, Evolve2 85, or Platonic Voyager UC Focus (again). I went with EPOS Adapt 660 mainly for the balance of features and price. Hope this helps.

Good headphones for work, commute, and more
I've had these headphones now for about 6-7 months. Primarily I've been using them at work and on the subway. The battery life is very good, lasts all day (12 hours) including 9 at the office. I use the included dongle with the workstation. Occasionally, the bluetooth connection to my station is buggy, and I have to restart the dongle to reset the connection. It is not a huge issue and doesn't impact my work. On the subway, the noise cancelling can be so significant that I can't hear my music/podcasts, but only when the train is really loud. Again, non-issue. They are very comfortable on the ear. For the price and for the office, I think they are perfect. There may be more high end headphones on the market, but these work for me and my commute.

Great sound, comfortable but with a couple of significant flaws
Overall, this headset is comfortable and does a good job with the active noise reduction. I can hear conversations clearly and generally the outgoing voice quality is good. However, there are several flaws that detract from an otherwise good headset. 1. The headset I got has an annoying glitch where it will put the call on hold for a few seconds, then take the call off hold. Sometimes it does this three or four times a minute and other times it behaves itself. It's somewhat random. 2. The design of the touch controls is a bit confusing. They've packed so many functions in that I have trouble remembering all of them. To be fair, a lot of manufacturers are guilty of doing the same thing. Human factors is a thing guys. Spend more time and come up with simpler, less confusing controls. Maybe some dedicated buttons or mark the functions of the touch controls on the touch panel. Yes I realize I can't see them while I'm using the headset, but it's easier to remove the headset instead of digging out the user guide to refresh my memory. 3. The voice level required to trigger the mic is set a bit high. I've had many conversations where I was told my voice was cut off. I have to speak louder than I'm comfortable with to get the mic to activate. There are some instructions in the user guide how to set this, but they're vague. The noise cancellation, sound quality and battery life is excellent, but I had to dock two stars for these flaws. Maybe I got a bad headset. Update 20 June 2023: The problems I noted in my review have rendered this headset nearly unusable. I’ve been communicating with the EPOS product support team, but they are very poor in responding in a timely manner. I’ve requested a replacement headset but they’re dragging their feet on the response to that request. I would not buy this headset again. I’m taking off an additional star for lousy product support.

As Expected
- Connects to PC and Phone/Tablet and changes between them seamlessly. - The issue of getting the email sounds even though the PC sound is muted can be solved by changing the source source (temporary as the firmware is updated, I assume). Teams will still get connected. - Works as intended with Teams. - The sound is great for a wireless headset. - Teams sounds great. - Very confortable, even for all day use. - The microphone is really good. - Touch sensors work without issues, almost no touch errors, no delays. - ANC is just good, Sony’s XM4 is better, but for normal use, music, etc. it will not be a huge difference. - The max sound is not as loud as others, depends on the recording or source, but is good enough especially for all day work.
