Tapo L510E Smart Bulb, Smart WiFi LED Light, E27, Works with Amazon Alexa(Echo and Echo Dot), Google Home, Dimmable Soft Warm White, No Hub Required [Energy Class F]

I use this Tapo L510E smart bulb for my landing light and it’s been really convenient. Setup took a couple of minutes. I just screwed it in, downloaded the Tapo app and it connected straight away. It also linked to Alexa without any hassle, so I can turn the landing light on or off with voice or by routine. The main benefit for me is being able to control it from downstairs or when I’m heading up at night, instead of walking into a dark hallway, works really well and feels much safer than fumbling for a switch in the dark. Another thing I really like is being able to switch it on when I’m out. If I’m away for the evening or overnight, I can turn the landing light on remotely to make it look like someone is home. It’s a simple thing but it gives a bit of peace of mind. The app is easy to use and the controls are clear. I’ve added a couple of screenshots to show the interface, because I noticed most reviews didn’t include any. It’s genuinely straightforward to set timers and adjust brightness. There can sometimes be a one second delay when using voice control, but it’s minor and doesn’t affect use. For the price, it’s excellent value and a really easy smart upgrade with no hub or extra hardware needed.

Great product. Very simple to set up via the App. Does just the job. A little expensive for just a bulb, but it does so much more. Worth the extra.

This is literally the product I didn't know I needed. I have a few of these dotted around the house now: lamps, bedrooms, even in the hallways. We also have the Tapo doorbell and smart plugs, and it's a great ecosystem with flawless compatibility between everything. While I work the night shift, my wife likes to leave the upstairs hall light set at 1% brightness, which is just enough to see everything but not enough to keep you awake. Schedules can be set if you feel like it, but we don't bother with that. Opening the app and turning a light on takes only a couple of seconds, and it's super easy to control everything. I can't comment on the lifespan, but I hope they'll last a very long time as they are on the pricey side. However, you get what you pay for, and this is a quality product.

These are brilliant. Used this for my front porch to have the bulb on a timer. Syncs easily with the app and love the fact you can change the brightness and different times of the day. Heavily recommend and buying more!

This is my first ever smart bulb. I have just installed it in the wall light fitting outside by the front door, installed the app and took about 10 mins to get it all working which includes setting up the app, linking to my WiFi and configuring the app so I can schedule the light on/off time. I can also manually switch on and off the light via the app. So far so good. Very happy as I am going away at half term soon.

Great little lamp easy to install and set up

I like to link my Smart Bulbs to my Google home system and currently use Lepro, Hue and Yilight, all of which work well with Google. So I purchased one of these Tapo bulbs to try out. It linked without issue, I can even tell Google to turn the bulb on without issue, but for sone reason it will not allow me to turn off the bulb this same way, so I have to resort to the Tapo app which is a bit of a pain. Tried unlinking, resetting, etc, but nothing has helped. Apart from this issue, the bulb works okay and the app is well designed.
