Review: Part was nice , installation sucked - If you are planning to replace this handle on a Mercedes, GOOD LUCK. Part fit perfectly and the screws were used but this took us over 3 hours. I recommend watching YouTube videos on installation because it was very difficult getting to the door handle. A $15 part and a few hours of work was better than Mercedes quote of $1600. Be careful with the plastic pin that comes with this, there’s only one so don’t lose it.
Review: Much cheaper than the dealer - Dealership wants to charge like $1000 to replace the entire door assembly (because they use cheap plastic that breaks?). It’s a pain to cut all the plastic rivets, but well worth the savings. Take your time and do it carefully, and it’s a great replacement. Hardest part was getting the original pin out. Oh, and had to use the original pin with the new handle, could not get the new pin to work - so be careful removing the pin. Watch the video a few times first before attempting. The replacement screws work perfectly to re-seal the assembly.
