Excellent, easy to erect awning
Best awning we have had, took us less than 15 mins to erect first time and we didn't really know what we were doing. Extremely useful space, great for extra sleeping space or table and chairs. Very pleased with our purchase. Would recommend.

We found it easy to erect and fitted our t4 perfectly and about ...
Right so I bought this awning about 3 weeks ago and have to say I gave it a baptism of fire, 3 weeks camping at a very muddy Glastonbury! if we were going to find any weaknesses it was going to be over this period . We found it easy to erect and fitted our t4 perfectly and about 4 days into the stay we were hit by easily the heaviest rain I have seen in this country for about 40 minuets, we were away from the van at the Time and I expected utter devastation when we returned, but not only was the awning fine we didn't have 1 drop of water inside, I was amazed! So I would totally rate this product for good value and very good performance, my only concern is at the entrance there are only the side zips to provide tension so the door is water proof and I have noticed over the time that has become a little 'stretched' so the overlap isn't as comprehensive , but it's a small thing and easily corrected, In summing up this really is a great little awning and will serve well!

Good
Excellent bit of kit worked well on the back of my pick up only thing it could do with stronger zips and the sides could be a bit longer and more peg anchors around the sides to stop the draft

Drive away awning
Was first time using it, easily assembled on my own, definitely recommend limpets and a rail as extras, not used this time but have since used, excellent value for money

Poor quality - three of four zips broke.
Actually putting this us was easy and it served it's purpose - extra space and a place to cook and sit if weather inclement. However as it has no brace between pole bottoms it stretched and three of the four door zips broke. It stretched out of shape - not even the velcro fastenings held. It then rained and all our gear was ruined. Amazon have refunded no question, however I personally would avoid. Not £150 quids worth of awninmg IMHO.

You get what you pay for
Firstly this is cheap! It's made to a price point which shows. Is it rubbish? No, for the money it's not too bad at all but you need to be prepared for a few things... 1-the supplied pegs are rubbish for any ground harder than a block of jelly but then so are the pegs on any cheaper tent, so get yourself some decent heavy duty hammer in ones. 2-the instructions for the guy lines are non-existent, if the adjusters slip then it means they're the wrong way round otherwise they work just fine. 3-the guy line attachments aren't great so have a needle and thread handy in case you need to repair them. 4-the poles, first time I used mine we had a few gusts of wind, not gale force but a tad more than a breeze and two sections (one on each set) split meaning they inverted. Easy to fix with duct tape, so have a roll of that with you, we also used some spare guy line to add extra support to the poles, so probably worth carrying some line with you. 5-the zips are cheap, one of the ones on the door came apart, easy to fix with a pair of needle nose pliers so have some with you. Probably worth tightening them all up before you use them to save the hassle of fixing in situ. All in all, nothing an experienced camper won't be used to, or prepared to deal with. The awning fitted against my Berlingo micro camper really well and gave me a nice area out of the rain to cook, sit and chill and nice shade from the sun. A couple of garden poles worked well to turn the door into a sun shade. The seller, was prompt to deal with my complaint of split poles and refunded me sufficiently to buy new sections without the hassle of returning the whole thing. One improvement that you could be done before you use it is to measure out some straps which prevent the poles from splaying further apart then they're supposed to as there is enough slack in the fabric to allow this which then causes problems trying to close the doors after you've opened them - hence the zip failure.

Excellent for the price and size.
I have a VW T5 (SWB) camper conversion and wanted a bit more space for getting changed, storing bags, cooking away from the inside of the van (only boil the kettle inside) etc. Overall I'm very happy with this, I used it for a 5 day trip to Cornwall in March and the weather was dry mostly with gusty winds and rain on the last day. Size is about the same as a two man tent and felt secure when tired down, although two or three of the elasticated peg loops snapped when removing pegs but I can replace them. Groundsheet is fine and attached securely, however when zipped up for the night the horizontal bottom lip of the entrance doesn't zip or Velcro close so can have wind but thankfully no rain enter. The awning against the van side door was a minor problem as I had secured it using the ties over the van, this meant opening the door stretched against the awning fabric and I had to move it over the door as I opened it. The opening to get into the van is quite a bit lower than the height of the van door itself so you have to duck slightly to enter the van. The last night was really blowy (camped at Lizard Point by the sea) but it held fast, in the middle of the night I had to take the awning from over the van as it was flapping and making noise on the roof but I know I can fit it better after a few go's. None of these minor issues dented my enthusiasm for having so much more space that didn't take up a huge footprint, and being able to leave the camp stuff behind to drive away and enjoy myself.
