The best for long days in the sun!!
I would give this a 9.5/10. It is an almost perfect sunscreen. I normally burn SO easily, I have fair skin. I applied this one time during a kayaking day trip, not a cloud in the sky, and was out there for hours. I did not burn where I applied it. The photo is to show where I missed applying it. Right now my partner is lying in bed with nearly 3rd degree burns lookin like a lobster because he didn’t use this sunscreen on the same trip, and I have a beautiful soft tan, no burn right now on the rest of my body. This sunscreen wasn’t greasy at all. It’s all mineral and felt good to apply. No color transfer, no bleeding of color on plastic bags and clothes. I’ve given it -0.5 for 2 reasons, I wouldn’t use it everyday as it did put temporary sunscreen streaks on my polyester dry-wicking shorts the other day (none the kayak day though) and reason 2 is it leaves a white cast on the face only, so I wouldn’t use it on the face. HOWEVER, worth noting I normally have bad acne and this product did not make me break me out at all.

Clean, Coral Safe, and it Works!
It's a great sunscreen on so many levels: it won't harm the ocean, it goes on thick (but fades into your skin after a short time), and it will keep you from getting sunburned even if you get in the water! Highly recommended!

Better than other mineral sunscreens I've tried, will buy again
I have a lot of allergies, including fragrance and acrylates, so have to wear mineral sunscreens whether I like it or not. So far this one has been my favorite for efficacy and how it feels to wear. I accept that mineral sunscreens are likely going to need lots of rubbing in and leave a kind of oily and/or white film on skin, so I give myself a lot of time to rub this sunscreen in and let it "dry" while getting ready. As the day goes on, it soaks into my skin and the mild filmy feeling goes away, which does not happen with other mineral sunscreens I have tried. No noticeable white cast after initial rubbing in (I am very fair though). No weird smell which I love, and doesn't make my skin break out. Have not worn in the pool yet but when my skin gets wet while wearing this, water beads up and rolls off which makes me feel like it's pretty water resistant. Would probably be hard to get kids to wear as it takes a long time and some pressure to rub in, can't even get my husband to try it lol

I especially appreciate that it’s free from harsh chemicals and suitable for both adults and children. It holds up well during outdoor activities and gives peace of mind knowing the skin is well protected. Overall, this is a high-quality sunscreen that truly delivers on safety and performance. Highly recommended!

It's great stuff!... except when it isn't.
I actually found out about this stuff when my sister bought a bottle and brought it home as this one was being shipped. 🙄 I'm very fair skinned and burn easily. One might say I'm a vampire, though the sight of blood does not excite me. And because of this I'm either covered head to toe 365 a year or drowning myself in sunscreen. Many of them irritate my skin because as luck would have it, nature blessed me with being sensitive, too. To perfumes and whatever else they're putting in other sunscreen. I can maybe get away with putting some of it on my legs and arms, but never on my face. Anything perfume-y on my face and my eyes swell up and shut tight... I look like I'm turning into a fly, no thank you. I was using Shiseido Sunscreen at one time for all over, until I ran out. It worked very well and I never had an issue. Except it's rather costly and it's got a white cast to beat the band. Yeah. I'm talking full-on clown makeup. Still, no burns, no tan. Hallerlujah! So now I've got Blue Lizard. And it's got a white cast, but it's not terrible. It's also not permanent. It actually disappears after a few minutes - which kind of left me wondering if I was covered still. I checked... my skin is slick so sunscreen is still on me. If there's doubt, the gnats return to start annoying me with their presence. I spend upwards of 3 - 5 hours in the pool every day, unless it's storming. The first hour is walking around in the water vacuuming, so my hands are getting more water exposure than my face is. Rash guards from neck to ankle. Roughly 30 - 45 minutes later, the sunscreen that was on my hands is gone. I believe that the bottle says up to 60 minutes water-resistant (not waterproof! Any sunscreen that claims "waterproof" is being deceitful), and I know you're supposed to reapply every 80 for this SPF... but there should be something to let consumers know that water exposure will halve the protection time. Because I reapplied religiously, I never got any kind of sun burn or tan. Somehow my hands magically escaped with my reapplying while wet. But after you let the product dry a bit before you return to your activity, it should work fine. I also had zero irritation - EXCEPT when I went underwater after vacuuming and scooping out nature's little minions for over an hour. This product will run. It will get in your eyes. And it will burn. It doesn't matter if you applied it dry or with damp hands and then let your face dry. If you start sweating or your face gets wet at all and the water goes into your eyes, it's picking up product and taking it to your peepers! This happened so many times over the course of two weeks I thought I was going to lose both of my eyes. At first they just felt dry. But every day it got worse and worse. For this reason I have stopped using it on my face and have started using something else that doesn't run and cause irritation. My eyes were red as fire trucks for over a week, and I have been worshipping the makers of eye drops ever since. The lid changing color to let me know of the UV danger is nice. I don't know how scientifically accurate that is, but it's a good focal for me anyway. So, it's really great stuff as far as I'm concerned. I just know better where to put it now.

Cruise-tested, reef-safe, and sensitive skin friendly
This sunscreen is a must-have for cruise days and beach excursions. The SPF 50+ mineral formula with zinc oxide provides serious protection under strong sun, and it holds up incredibly well even after swimming or sweating. What I love most? It’s fragrance-free, reef-safe, and gentle on sensitive skin — no breakouts, no irritation, just reliable, broad-spectrum coverage. It goes on smooth (not chalky!), absorbs quickly, and doesn’t feel greasy — so you’re not walking around the pool deck like a slip hazard. With two tubes in the pack, you’ll have plenty for a full trip — or to share with your sunburn-prone travel buddy. Cruiser-approved and carry-on ready.

Best sunscreen ever
I swear by this sunscreen. I once never burned while using it, however it comes out very thick and white and does not blend easily with your skin. It also waterproof, so you do not have to keep reapplying it.

Perfect Solution for Sunscreen Allergy or Sensitive Skin
I've developed an allergy to sunscreen so gave Blue Lizard a try. This sunscreen does not make me itch! It goes on quite thick and white. Since it is a mineral sunscreen It doesn't absorb into the skin like regular sunscreen, it sits on top of the skin. I appreciate that it has less chemicals and is safer for both me and the environment. I would highly recommend Blue Lizard if you have a sunscreen allergy, sensitive skin or just prefer a safer, mineral based sunscreen.
