Came in an interesting box that was a puzzle to open. On top, the tiny headphones in a tiny plastic bag and a THICK instruction book in several languages. The player itself is an unremarkable solid black and the black buttons all work (once you read the instruction book and figure out which is for what.) After putting in the 2 AA batteries it started right away with the play button. There seemed to be a problem with the sound until I pushed the stereo plug all the way in and the sound wasn't fuzzy any more. Everything works, including, I guess, the Auxiliary AC-DC power supply, but finding the right one might be a problem because the contacts on the plug must be exact. I don't care about that, since 2 AA batteries seem to do a fine job! A nice little portable player. They aren't as popular as they once were and most big box stores don't have them anymore.
