Works perfect, but mind that it's specifically for Sony TVs
I like retro games. I sometimes play on PS2 or OG Xbox, so I do use the analog inputs quite frequently. I know you can use RCA to HDMI adapters but at least in the case of my PS2, they just didn't give proper quality and true analog inputs always looked better. Anyway, when I bought a new TV, I specifically bought a Sony because even the newest models (at least at the time when I bought it) still had an analog input, which most modern TVs just don't have anymore. However, once I've received the TV I was disappointed to find out that it doesn't have real RCA connectors - instead it has a single 3.5'' connector and you need to use an adapter, which obviously wasn't included, which is why I bought this. Works great, perfect quality. Just plug it into your TV and plug your legacy game console or VCR to the RCA inputs of the adapter. Please note - Those RCA to 3.5'' adapters are not standard. They look the same but they have different internal wiring, depending on the TV manufacturer. This cable is only guaranteed to work on Sony TVs. If you have any other brand, get one that's specific to that brand.

Don't assume component video is composite video with two extra signals
I have a DVD/VCR unit that was connected to the TV via a component video cable. That TV was replaced by a new one a few days ago, and the new TV requires a breakout cable (like this one) to hook up anything with RCA jacks. The DVD/VCR has a HDMI port, but I've used up all the HDMI ports on the TV. The breakout cable isn't included with the new TV, so I had to go find one, which led me to here. I thought I could save myself a few contortions by just plugging the component video cable into the adapter (leaving two unused connections). No such luck - the TV reported a lack of signal on the composite video input. Tried the video output part of the component video cable with the other inputs on the adapter; no such luck there, either. I thought maybe I had a bum adapter, so I started a return on it. The new adapter showed up in the mail today. By this time, I had switched from the component video cable to a composite video cable (freebies left over from other purchases). Again, no love from the TV. The composite video cable had been plugged into the relevant jacks of the component video section of the DVD/VCR's back panel. I took a longer look at the back panel and saw the "Video Out" section. I had thought it was something related to using a video camera. The DVD/VCR had been connected via a component video cable for so long, I had forgotten the "Video Out" section was where the composite video cable had been plugged in way back when. Having a sinking feeling I had gotten a bum adapter twice in a row, I moved the composite video cable from the three component video jacks it had occupied to the three jacks in the "Video Out" section on a lark. Things started working, and I was relieved at not having to do another return. I really thought component video was just composite video with two extra signals. Guessed wrong - apparently what goes out over the video jack for a component video connection isn't anything the video input jack for a composite video connection understands.

Works exactly as described.
I have one of those little monitors that you can connect and screw on to the PS One, which basically allows you to play PlayStation games without the need for a television. When I found out that it also has AV In support, I had to plug in one of those little AV to 3.5mm jacks I had around. Though unfortunately, this is where I learn: 1. Sony uses a proprietary AV connection layout when it comes to their televisions and monitors. 2. Even back then, Sony is a bit of a donkey when it comes to both ease of use and consumer satisfaction. Haha. But, when I got this in; I plugged it in, hooked it up to one of those little Plug and Play machines, and soon enough I found myself getting another high score in Pole Position, all through a little monitor hooked up to an equally slimmed down game console that was released just before the PlayStation 2 hit the market. The connection quality was amazing too; though I think some of that is kudos for the monitor itself. Still, I had no issues seeing the picture or hearing anything with this connected. In short; It works exactly as described. No further comment needed.

Audio Adapter Cables For My Wii/Wii U
*November 2021 Had made the decision in purchasing this 3.5 MM AILTECK Replacement Sony TV Audio AV Adapter Cables, considering this was one of the required electronic parts to put my family and I's original Wii console together. As of current, my family and I don't own the Sony TV anymore, my mother had wanted to get rid of the TV within the living room due to increased cable bills...(So now, my husband and I who currently reside with both my mother and younger sister own a Roku TV and these adapter cables seem to work well with our Roku. Not to mention, that I also own the Wii U and that my family and I had to regift our original Wii to one of our neighbors). Moreover, if you happen to be one of those people who still own some old gaming consoles, I would suggest, that you purchase this accessory for your TV but, to be sure to check your TV's specifications from it's setup manual before making the purchase. PS: Both the sound quality, is good and these cables should be compatible with any kind of TV model, (but, would still have to check, depending on your TV's setup manual).

Works for Sony X85J tv.
Works for Sony X85J tv. Odd that the newer TVs do not support the number and types of input connectors that I had in the past.

Built very cheaply but gets the job done
Used with my Sony A80L OLED. Pinout is correct, unlike the other adapters I had laying around. It's built using the cheapest possible wire and connectors. The wires are very thin and entirely un-shielded, and the actual plug on the connector uses the same brown material used on very old RCA ports (the plastic around the connectors is colored correctly, just the bit inside the plug). I've only used it with my Nintendo Wii, and I've noticed a high pitch whine on the audio, but for now I'm just going to blame that on the old console.

Actually works
Thought I'd leave a review for others who have been struggling to find a decent AV cable for their Sony TV - in my case, the X90L. I tried two other cables before buying this one - the first wouldn't work at all, and the image quality on the second was so garbage that it was pretty much unusable. This one actually worked, and carries a decent signal.

Cumplió mis expectativas
Por fin pude conectar mi DVD a mi pantalla Sony utilizando la conexión rca a 3.5, el cable es específico para esta marca, había utilizado otros cables pero la distribución de los conectores no era la que requería.

The cable not as described!
Beware before purchase! According to description this cable should be inteded for use with SONY TV's and the 3.5mm Jack should have this pinout (starting from tip): Left Audio (L) - Video (V) - Ground (G) - Right Audio (R). The cable I have received from the seller (from China to be more specific) has 3.5mm Jack pinout as follows: V-L-R-G thus DOES NOT work with my SONY TV A1E.
