This thing is LOUD...when it reaches it's apex. Those who say it is NOT probably don't understand what this product is for.What this is NOT: An alarm that loudly goes off whenever the door is opened.What this product IS: An alarm that goes off AFTER AN INITIAL TIME PERIOD to let you know the door is ajar/open. In other words it is NOT a alarm to prevent people from opening a fridge and stealing your prized piece of cake. Thank God (or the engineers) it is not. That would drive me crazy to hear a loud noise every time the fridge is opened.It works like this...when you open the door, a VERY QUIET, almost imperceptible beep sounds. It keeps going off quietly like this every 6 seconds. But the excitement builds. After a minute has passed a brief LOUD beep sounds. Oh I'm feeling it now! But we are just starting! The loud beep keeps happening every minute! Oh the joy! The anticipation keeps building and after three minutes pass a LOUD CONTINUOUS BEEP occurs! Please don't stop now! Keep going, keep going! After 4 minutes the loud continuous beep reaches its climatic crescendo and becomes a SUPER LOUD continuous beep. Ok stop stop stop I'm done...I need to catch my breath. So you close the door to turn it off or slide the switch on the side. And abandon the fridge to go back to your own bed alone so you can sleep.Did I tell you there are 4 loudness settings as well? And you can simply turn it off if you are going to clean your fridge at it will take longer than a few minutes.

For whatever reason, I often see the fridge door cracked open. Anyway, I finally did some research and decided on this alarm. Works as designed, easy to install, no brainer. A must for those who often find the fridge door open. Loud setting is Great!

So far, works great! I have kids who sometimes don't shut the door all the way. This beeps several times to let you know the door is open, then sounds an alarm after 1 minute. Like the adjustable settings.

Great little fridge alarm. Can hear it from the back of the house. Unit is so loud it makes you jump when it goes off.My only complaint is that I wish it would give some type of progressive signal the loud alarm is about to sound, like a series of progressively louder beeps.Would not buy again for an indoor fridge alarm but would definitely buy again for a general door open alarm--works great & is VERY LOUD!

I use it for a freezer we keep in the garage. I had accidentally left the door cracked overnight, so I bought this and don’t anticipate have any more mistakes like that. It’s nice to have different alarm volume settings too.

This small, noisy piece is pretty good for keeping the refrigerator with its doors closed as needed. The design is okay and the instructions are very easy to follow. When you need to keep the doors open for a longer time, you can switch off with a switch available on its side. I strongly recommend it.

Way to install and the alarm worked well. It wasn't loud enough for us to hear in the basement.

If you have ever left your fridge open, and had to replace everything in it, this is what your looking for. Iv done it a few times over the years, and replacing all the food is crazy. But more so im now caretaker for my father, and hes left it open a few times. This has already paid for itself many times over. Its not super annoying, it will beep casually at you at 1st, and that has saved us on remember in itself, there is a alarm if you leave it to long, we havent even made it to that with the casual beep.One downside is the distance is picky, you want it far enough that it will beep when just cracked, but close enough it wont just start beeping. from time to time i have to push it closer if it starts to beep, dosnt often happen, but be aware while installing it to play with it a bit 1st.

I have a habit of not closing the basement freezer door properly, which resulted in spoiled food more often than I want to admit. I first tried putting a magnetic thermometer by the door and setting a temperature alarm, but this has two drawbacks. First, the alarm won't sound until the temperature inside has already reached a dangerous point, and even worse... the alarm wasn't loud enough to hear even one floor up from the basement. This alarm solves both those issues. If you are careful about placing the alarm and the magnet it will detect of door gap of as little as 1/8". If the door is that close to closed the door seal magnet should pull it the rest of the way in. Even more important than that though is the volume of this alarm is LOUD! As soon as you open the door you hear a quiet "chirp" which repeats every 20 seconds or so for the first minute, then it starts to beep louder and longer for the next couple of minutes to remind you to close the door when you are done. If the door remains open past four minutes the full siren goes off and I wouldn't be surprised if the neighbours could hear it. If you need to door open longer than four minutes, say for defrosting, there is a small switch on the alarm portion to turn it off.You can choose several locations around the door to mount the alarm and magnet and it comes with adhesive shims to equalize the door and body surfaces if they aren't exactly aligned. The handle side of my freezer door is only about an inch from the wall so I chose to mount the alarm and magnet on top of the freezer and door instead of the side.

Si lo colocas en el lateral, en forma vertical está bien, pero si lo colocas en horizontal en el frontal de la puerta, poco a poco por gravedad se van separando.Buen sonido,
