IMS Competition Filter Basket for La Pavoni Lever post millenium espresso machines. Fits Picopresso. B602TH25

This great basket and fits good in my 51mm neouza bottomless portafilter. My espresso maker is an Espressoworks, but it will not fit the original portafilter that came with this machine!

I bought this basket to replace the stock basket that comes with the Picopresso. I was concerned that the new basket might not fit but it fits fine. Some reviews have mentioned they have problems with the funnel not resting securely on the basket but I found the funnel to fit just fine. I noticed a definite improvement in the flavor of my shots after replacing the basket and even got some crema on my first try. The basket appears to be high quality and is very easy to clean. The Picopresso doesn't screw together all the way with the larger basket but I haven't had any issues with leakage so far.

I got this straight walled porta filter in order to up my Pico skills. It works with the picopresso with the exception of having a slightly larger diameter lip. This causes the funnel to have a small gap. I'll later upgrade to a better funnel later so it isn't a big deal. Update: After using this portafilter for a while I've been pleased and upset. It works fine with the picopresso if you don't have too many things running with it. The seal holds and you can achieve a good cup of "espresso". Now with the use of Wacaco's pressure gauge it will leak 90% of shots. I've gone as far as grinding the outer edge of the basket to make fit a little better but still leaks. I've ran a couple other baskets and have had less leaking issues. So in conclusion, if you want to upgrade your pico, you might want to skip this basket and look at a different basket. But if not, this is still a good basket.

Overall makes the shots have better extraction but the fit is not the exact same so can take some getting used to it.

Fits the picopresso very well without the need for grinding or a gasket so long as you realize it will not screw down all the way. If you grind down the top edge it will but it is unnecessary in my experience, I had no leaks before I ground it down I just wanted it to fit a bit better, it changed nothing really. Very nice that 51mm paper filters actually fit the bottom 98% perfectly instead of the stock one where you have a big folded up edge all the way around the bottom of the basket. Highly recommend for the picopresso and for 51mm delonghi machines.

This is sold as being compatible with the La Pavoni Europiccola. I bought one, and it wasn't. So long as this thing was in the portafilter, I could not latch the portafilter to the group head. Looking closely at the original and the IMS, I could see the IMS had a higher roll along the lip, which would explain this. I'm still using the portafilter that came with the Europiccola, maybe it does better with a bottomless basket, but clearly no attempt is made to check the specifications with La Pavoni for the construction of this basket. Maybe I'll try again when I go bottomless...

This is exactly what I needed and shipping was incredibly fast. This basket fitted perfectly my Wacaco Picopresso, improving notably the espresso shots that it produces in comparison with the stock basket, which makes total sense when you take a closer look to the precision holes that this basket includes.

This IMS competition basket is built to fit post millennium La Pavoni Lever machines but it will also fit the Gaggia Factory G106 & G105 that are essentially La Pavoni machines with some style changes. I've used this basket for 6 months and it is rated for 14-16 grams, I use 20 grams for a nice ristretto. I do have to use a dosing ring as in the pictures to get that extended amount in before it's tamped but as the photo's show, there is still plenty of head volume left for water once it's tamped and in the machine. After 6 months I haven't had any holes plug up, a rinse of water every day has kept it clean and except for a few scratches from being pulled in and out of the basket hold etc it's as good as new. The holes are very consistent with no lips, burs or tear outs to be seen, the walls and base are very sturdy and all the edges are nicely rounded including the top edge which is ground smooth. All in all, I'm very with this IMS backet, it's a nice addition to my Lever machine that I've been using for 23+ years now and it still pulls a better shot than most of the top end cafe's. This little IMS basket helped with consistency, and that is key to great espresso.

I ordered this for my Picopresso. It fits well and makes a significant difference in taste.

This does not fit the picopresso well and the dosing funnel also does not fit correctly. Returned to Amazon.

First shot out of this new basket and I am thrilled by the difference. A different flavour profile and clean taste.A worthwhile upgrade.
