Hi-Yield (31134) Grass Killer Postemergence Grass Herbicide (8 oz)

Definitely my favorite weed killer! I grew a patch of sunflowers this year and Bermuda grass took over along with many different weed types. Got this, problem gone. Did take a little while before I saw results but once it did, everything was gone! It took no time to mix it up and spray it on. Be cautious not to spray your ornamentals because they will die! It’s strong, kills everything it touches.

One of the other reviews indicated it did not work on Japanese Stilt grass, but worked for me, although it took 3-4 weeks to fully work on this variety. faster on bermuda.

I thought I was buying the equivalent of Ortho Grass-B-Gone which works great, at least for a time. But Ortho does not come in a concentrate which I wanted for re-application til the grass died permanently. Only when I looked at the fine print, did it mention killing quack grass and crabgrass, yet lawn grass, e.g., fescue and bluegrass are missing from the list. In certain areas of my garden beds I have a lot of lawn grass popping through the ground cover and at the base of perennials. So the grass can't be handpicked. This product did not work at all for my purpose. A $42 waste of money and time spraying on 2 different occasions.

This bottle is a far better value than Grass Beater brand. I'm using it to control Bermuda grass in a centipede lawn. Several applications are required to completely kill out Bermuda grass. Applying according to directions results in an initial die off in about two weeks with only minor shock to centipede (stopping growth for 2-4 weeks). However, some portion of the Bermuda infestation will regrow and legacy seed will still germinate, so it reappears about a month later. Reapplying knocks it back again and a smaller portion will regrow. It takes about 5 applications (all summer, essentially) to completely kill it out. Notes: * There might be some Bermuda regrowth the following year, usually from legacy seed, which will need close attention to prevent spreading. Expect 2-3 years of regular attention for lasting eradication. * Be sure to use the recommended amount of crop or vegetable oil as a surfactant when mixing a batch, otherwise it will be less effective. * The active ingredient has no effect on broad leaf weeds. They'll continue to grow just fine...

I used Hi-Yield 16 oz Grass Killer specifically to get rid of Bermuda grass, and it did exactly what I needed it to do. After application, the Bermuda grass started to yellow and die off as expected, and it didn’t take long to see real results. It’s easy to mix and apply, and a little goes a long way. I like that it’s effective and saves me from having to repeatedly pull or dig up stubborn grass that keeps coming back.

I spray as directed in my flower gardens, it works perfect. Takes maybe 1-2 weeks, a note for the impatient gardener, but does work.

Very dangerous to your yard.I mixed per directions and sprayed the crabgrass. This killed the surrounding centipede grass as dead as a hammer. Not sure what I did wrong to cause the damage. I am just saying to be careful, this product will kill the good grass with the bad, very powerful stuff.
