Maxwell Coffee Diversion Safe Stash Can - 11.5oz 2017 Model

I have ADHD and constantly stress about locking myself out but am also paranoid about having a spare key somewhere easy to find. My partner and I combined this with a small combination lock key holder and have this set outside - it looks like it is part of our recycling but can come in handy if we lock ourselves out. Having the extra layer of security makes me more comfortable: we put the combination lock key holder inside of this and added some paper so it doesn't rattle around. This definitely seems to be a real coffee can that was repurposed. It is easy to unscrew and even sounds like there is coffee in it when you shake it. My only complaint is that the wrapper is definitely paper rather than plastic so since we keep it outdoors we just try to make sure it doesn't get wet. Overall I am very happy with this product and would recommend it if you are looking for some extra piece of mind!

This was a very well done diversion safe. The product was exactly as described and works very well. The seal on the top is a great extra diversion. A lot of people mention that they smell coffee, I don't, much that doesn't really matter much to me, it doesnt take away at all from how happy I am with this product. My only complaint would be that I wished the inside hiding compartment was just a little bit bigger, but even still, it's good enough. Happy with the purchase!

I have noticed that the lid in the bottom of the container does not sometimes screw in tightly. When you go to pick up the container, the lid will fall right off. You really have to tighten the lid into the container, but I don't see any grooves like you would normally see when screwing a cap onto a bottle. The can itself looks exactly like the cans you would see in a store. Others have complained about a barcode or something like that. Mine does not have any imperfections like that – it's completely identical to ones you would see in the store.

I like it. At the time I received it, it was the only stash can that would contain my credit/debit cards. It came with a smell proof bag which I have no use for but out of curiosity I put my dog’s favourite treat in the bag and for two weeks he showed no interest, after which time I gave up. As for the people who were disappointed that no coffee beans came with the can, WAKE UP, THE CAN CLEARLY SAYS, IN TWO LANGUAGES, “GROUND COFFEE”. As for me I filled mine with ground coffee to add weight, smell, and to pad my cards so as to make no sound or feel when they bang against the sides. My only concern with the can, and I have the same concern with many other such cans on the market, is that my house girl will open it. I cautioned her against using it and as long as I keep our favourite brand on hand I have little doubt that she will. Most of my stash cans are of the products she will have no interest in such as paint, liquid wrench, beer, etc. but I was at the time having difficulty locating a can to hold the cards.

I purchased this divergent safe for an escape room game and paid over $30 for it. At most it might be worth $5.? The bottom has been dented in a couple of places,. Fortunately, the bottom still screws off but it looks like something a grocery store would mark down in price just to get rid of it! Because the bottom is dented in, the paper label identifying the can as Maxwell coffee, is loose and sticks out at those locations. Most troublesome is the fact the can rattles. Although it should appear the can holds coffee, meaning there would be no sound when the can is shaken, between the metal top of the can and the plastic liner that holds secreted items are Pringle potato chips??? Unfortunately, I have no time to return the can and locate a different option for my escape room. Definitely an expensive and disappointing purchase.

I’m actually very impressed by this. I was able to fit a lot of things in the storage area, and filled in the empty spaces with napkins so there’s no rattling. There is a coffee scent and it’s sealed and looks totally legit. I feel way safer now that I have this. The only ‘negative’ was when I tried to peel the sticker off (it says stash can) and some of the blue paper came off but it’s tiny and almost makes it look more authentic. I never thought I’d need one of these but it was such a worthwhile purchase!

Smells like coffee, looks real, has sound of loose grounds when you shake it, and the hole was big enough to hide things in! I love it!
