I picked this up out of curiosity because I have always liked the sound of these instruments and wanted to try one for myself. The build quality surprised me in a good way. The frame is smooth and sturdy with no sharp edges and the tongue is responsive without feeling flimsy. It sits comfortably against the teeth and does not rattle or scrape which is important for anyone learning. The tone is bright and steady and you can get a wide range of sounds once you get used to controlling your breath and throat. It is also louder than I expected for its size which makes practicing a lot more fun. Even as a beginner I was able to get clean notes within a few minutes. If you have wanted to try one of these or you are looking for a simple instrument that is easy to carry around this is a good choice. It feels solid and sounds good and has held up well so far.

Got me jaw harpin in no time... I love this lil thing! It is small, but to be honest, I think the small size is a benefit because it portrays the real jews harp aesthetic while playing it. It really comes down to how you hold it to your lips, and there are multiple was you can hold it. In fact, you don't have to really have a firm grip on the end of it. Just make sure to hold it securely enough to produce sounds. Also, there is no one way to pluck it. You can use your index finger or thumb, and try to pluck at a very slight, upward angle. You can also pluck straight out, but once you learn how to get that very slight upward angel, you'll produce a consistent sound all the time. Might put up a fun lil Jaw harp ditty if I feel creative enough.

Very nice harp to learn on. Took me a bit to find the sweet spot on my teeth, which is off-center to the right for me, but once I did, it became much easier to play. I found I wasn’t smacking my teeth with the reed as much and it was easier to shape my mouth and take breaths to form different sounds. You do need patience to learn how to play properly, but once you do they are hard to put down.

The good: This instrument is fun and easy to play. The sound is funky and unique. The bad: I had this for about 2 weeks. I played it for a few minutes each day. The tongue snapped clean off as I was playing it. I feel like the quality is decent, but not great. Review: I think this is a really fun instrument to help kill some time. This is a good beginner jaw harp, and helped Kickstart my interest into this particular instrument.

I bought these for my kids and they're great. I had one when I was a kid and now my boys get the same experience of smacking their teeth with a metal spring. Magical.

The jaw harp is small which would be okay if it was louder. I had a $10 harp from a music store down the street but lost it and was twice as loud and was able to played as an actual instrument and not a gimmick like this. The design is nice but it does not have enough flexibility in the tin to be played in a more complex manner than a simple twangs.
