WonderSlim Protein Pudding, Dark Chocolate, Gluten Free, Low Carb (7ct)

I bought both the dark chocolate and the lemon after I had oral surgery and had to stick to soft foods that didn't require chewing, and I was sick of mashed potatoes and yogurt, and wanted something a little more nutritious than the potatoes (particularly since i regularly eat low carb!). I didn't have any trouble with this pudding being lumpy, grainy, runny, weird texture, etc. I thought it had a texture almost identical to cook-and-serve pudding (which is much thicker and heavier than regular instant pudding) and the only time I had to really work to get lumps out was when I got greedy and tried to make two packs at once! Otherwise, one pack in a bowl with 1/2 cup cold water mixed up easily with a spoon and set up thick and creamy in a couple of minutes. I prefer the dark chocolate to the lemon (which is slightly too sweet for me) because it has the bitter dark chocolate taste I love. These completely served my purpose of trying to get some creamy/non-chewing protein in while I was on food restriction (and didn't want to just drink muscle milk and the like) and I enjoyed them so much I'm back to order more of them to have on hand as a low carb treat.

If I'm being honest, I expected this to taste more like protein powder - you know that protein flavor you get when you make any of those protein desserts. But they actually taste like pudding and the consistency is good if you mix it well. It's not as sweet as a pudding cup (which is a pro in my book) and it does fill you up better.

I noticed a lot of people complaining about the flavor in their reviews. This is a pudding designed for people who are attempting to curb their appetites, raise their protein intake, and lose weight. The name WonderSlim should say it all! So, it's kind of a given that it isn't going to taste like Jell-O pudding and if you're expecting it to, you are in for a let down. All that being said, I tried the chocolate and found the flavor to be really good, the consistency to be exactly as I wanted it (I used Almondmilk instead of water), and it was filling! Even though it was a pretty small portion, I had no urge for a meal or snack for the rest of the day and I ate it late afternoon! It's only downfall is the price, for which I took off a star. It definitely isn't your average pudding but the benefits are worth giving it a try. I'd recommend it to anyone who is dieting or looking for low fat/high protein desserts. It's great! Just know that it isn't going to taste like your name brand snack pack and you WILL enjoy it!

This "pudding" is absolutely gross. Turns out it can't even be returned, so I'll just leave this review as a warning to others. I prepared this exactly as instructed, and it was awful. Then, since I had this inedible muck, I tried numerous other ways of preparation, trying to get value out of the $15 I spent on it. I was unsuccessful. I used a liquids-specific blender. What you end up with has a congealed muddy texture. It *does not* set up like pudding. It's just very thick liquid that's mildly gritty. Yes, I tried four ounces of water, three ounces of water, milk instead of water, cold water, warm water. It's just viscous brown super chocolaty-tasting yuck. Go buy some sugar free Snak Paks at your grocer. One quarter the price, fewer carbs and calories, same fiber, and it's actually pudding.

I had bariatric surgery four years ago and I am currently pregnant with twins. I’ve been struggling to get my daily protein in with the nausea and morning sickness, so I was looking for good snacks that I can eat while still following my bariatric diet. This isn’t too bad, it’s a bit gritty and I’ve been having a difficult time getting all of the chunks to break up, so I never seem to have a smooth pudding. The flavor isn’t the best, but it also doesn’t have a weird aftertaste which I can appreciate. It’s doing it’s job, just not my favorite snack. Maybe I’d like it more if I weren’t pregnant and nauseous!

I’m on my pre operative diet before surgery and this stuff is saving my life! It was really good with cold soy milk which added more protein too so that was good! I used a hand blender so I could get out all the lumps. I liked both the chocolate and the lemon flavor.

I have seen some complaints about being hard to mix. Using an immersion blender, it mixes to great consistency. To enhance the chocolate taste, I add a tablespoon of cocoa powder. To be able to eat right away (without having to chill it), I replace about half the water with crushed ice. Try it.
