When two police detectives get involved in their operation, the nurses of Mochizuki Hospital must wield their instruments-katana, machine gun, and pistol-with even greater precision to excise the cancerous Masaki. As each nurse uses her particular specialty to dispatch Masaki's thugs, Arashi pursues the root himself. Arashi may struggle with his piecemeal identity, but treating this human virus is something both sides of him are sure of... Review: Nice - Book looks good Review: Great Second Volume - Another well-translated volume of Triage X. The plot progresses at a nice pace with a good amount of character development as the crew gets things done. While the story alone makes it worth the read, the art continues to be great and very detailed, with an appropriate amount of fan service. The reason I like the way Shouji Sato does fan service is because it's presented in a way that rarely distracts you from what's happening in the rest of the panel, but it's always there in abundance, should you care to glance at it. This volume's mostly action, but you can see the character's relationships deepen as trust builds. The fight scenes are a little over the top, but no more so than your standard action manga. I'm very satisfied with this manga and I'm looking forward to the next volume, which if memory serves me right, develops the story and characters even more.

Solid follow up with more character development
Mazaki is still on the loose, pursued by Arashi and Mikoto hoping to prove their worth as assassins but things gets complicated when a hard boiled police detective also gets involved. This is a solid follow up to the first volume, and we finally learn a bit more about Arashi, the fate of his friend, and how he became a member of Black Label. This begins a much needed trend of giving some personality and identity to the cold blooded killers of Black Label. There's also some welcome humor based around Arashi's classmate who has a crush on him despite his cold demeanour, and is Mikoto jealous? Although the nurses are still almost like terminators (i.e. cold, merciless and unstoppable) it's nice to finally have some humanity in the team even if it's difficult to relate to Arashi or Mikoto. For this reason I actually enjoyed this volume even more than the first, so if you were put off by the coldness of the characters in the first volume this volume may change your opinion.

Another excellent chapter in the series
Another excellent chapter in the series. As always the story is top-notch, the characters are developing nicely. The drawings are quite amazing, the detail on the motorcycle, the weapons, etc., all authentic recreations. Just wish Sato-san would get back to work on HOTD too.

Just getting started,.
Volume two starts off just as strong as the first volume ended, still not much giveaway regarding plot development, this could be a slow burning yet action packed series.
