The vanilla flavor is quite pronounced. It tastes a little too sweet for me, but still I appreciate the fact that the sweetener is stevia without artificial sweeteners or sugar.

Since I became a paraplegic and started losing muscle mass as a result, it was recommended that I purchase a protein powder to help re-build muscle. I did some research and discovered that SO MANY protein powders have so much junk in them, or they're either very high in sodium OR fat AND carbohydrates! So, who needs all that sodium, fat, and carbs anyway?!?!? Not I, that's for sure, especially being in a wheelchair! Anyway, after checking out different protein powders in a highly-regarded health food store in my city, I found the Bluebonnet Whey Protein Isolate powder to be the most healthful, ESPECIALLY since it packs a full 26 grams of protein per scoop! But it was a bit expensive. I was so excited when I found it on Amazon at a much reduced rate; consequently, I've been ordering it from Amazon ever since. I always purchase the French Vanilla flavor because it seems to blend better when fruit is added to it in my little individual-size blender. I have a suggestion for new users: Purchase an individual-size blender, put in 4 ice cubes, some "frozen" mixed fruit, about 12 oz. of ice water, and then "pulse" the blender until the contents look like an "icy." THEN add 3/4 scoop instant non-fat powdered milk, and about 1-1/4 scoops of the powder, and pulse again about three pulses. It makes one of the most healthful and best tasting smoothies you will EVER drink! I've convinced others I know to do the same, and they absolutely LOVE it. Just an added note: Adults always need MORE protein because muscle mass is lost as we age. .

CORRECTION TO REVIEW. Bluebonnet GF WPI Vanilla DOES NOT MIX WITH hot coffee - IT CLUMPS IN HOT WATER. It stirs in instantly in COLD water, then you can add hot water. Vanilla flavor uses Stevia extract. It tastes good.

After searching for the perfect fitness powder, this one by Bluebonnet is the winner! I take it with just about 8 oz. of room temperature water, and it still tastes fantastic! Taste: 5/5 Stars! OK, for those who've never tried whey protein - be warned, it's going to taste something like water-down milk. Bluebonnet's whey protein is no different - except it actually tastes good!!! I don't know how they do it, but it's a pleasant flavor that I look forward to! I don't squirm and squeamish whiling downing this. I just want to add that the Vanilla flavor smells incredible! I'm looking for baking recipes to use this whey powder in because I know it'll smell fantastic! Texture: 5/5 Stars! Powder is so silky and refined, it melts in even cooler water when just stirred with a spoon! Efficacy: 5/5 Stars! Since using this powder for pre and post workouts, my muscles feel more toned. I'm really focusing on ab and glute exercises now, and my abdomen does feel a lot more defined, and I'm seeing more "lift" and rounder shape in my buttocks :) Price: 5/5 Stars! Sorry, don't even think about buying this at your local health-food stores! I got it on Amazon for like $24 bucks, with prime shipping, compared to $32 in-stores! Yikes! For a real treat, I shake it up in my Mason jar filled half-way with almond milk and generous sprinklings of ground cinnamon powder! Yum! Tastes like horchata!

This protein powder has been one of the easiest on my stomach that I’ve tried. With just four clean ingredients, it digests smoothly and doesn’t leave me feeling bloated or heavy. It mixes effortlessly into smooth, lump-free shakes, and I love that I’m getting 26g of clean protein from grass-fed cows without any artificial flavors or sweeteners. It feels simple, high quality, and effective. If you want a no-nonsense protein that supports muscle and digestion without extra junk, this one is a great choice.

No after taste. Mix well with milk and fruit. Haven’t used water or juice yet. Will buy again. However, I miss the mixed berry flavor don’t think they make it anymore.
