It is currently saving my hair!
I want to start off by saying I am in NO way getting paid or receiving any bribes for this review. I started hair thinning in my mid-twenties. So, I tried Monat. Monat was okay but it didn't leave my hair feeling soft and it was hard to brush through after showering. Plus, the price tag is outrageous. You have to pay for a membership THEN pay for the products at what they call a "discounted price" of a whopping $40 per bottle of shampoo and conditioner. Let's face it, I'm poor. So I stopped. I switched to a natural WalMart brand. A little easier on the wallet. But after 3 months of use my husband told me my hair stunk (which it did even after using the product) and I developed dandruff. I then saw an ad for Prose. I thought eh, why not? I would regret that decision. Prose is supposed to be customized to your area you live, the water hardness, and your hair type. Well about the first week of using it, it was great. But then I started noticing some startling stuff. After I showered (shoot even after I shampooed) my hair was coming out in clumps! My brush would fill up after one brushing. I had a trail of hair from the bathroom to the bedroom on the floor. I was cleaning out my shower drain every month to two months (NOT NORMAL!) My hair became brittle and dry. It was rough to the touch. Not to mention I was paying $60 for two tiny bottles of this stuff every month. I knew it was time for a change when I noticed thousands of tiny hairs sticking straight up from my head. And my scalp was SO itchy. So, I researched and researched and this stuff didn't have too terrible of reviews so I thought at this point, anything is better than Prose. I'm so glad I chose this stuff. First time I used it, I felt the product working. And when I say "working" it was nourishing my scalp and my hair. I allowed the shampoo and conditioner time to set in my hair as the directions state. The smell was a little strong at first, but honestly I love it. I suffer from allergies all year and it helps me breathe a little. Plus, when my hair gets a little wet, I can smell the minty freshness, so I know it stays in my hair. I've been using it a week now and here's what I've noticed. While showering, I no longer lose hair! When I brush, there are only a few strands in my brush. My hair is SO silky, soft, and it's the shiniest it's ever been! My tiny little hairs have actually grown out and are laying flat with the rest of my hair. My hair doesn't get oily if I skip a couple washes (let's face it, life happens). If I have it up in a hair tie, I can let it loose and within several minutes it lays out straight. I don't have the tell tale buldge of a pony tail. My scalp is no longer itchy. It's easier to manage. I am a simple girl. I don't use heat tools but maybe once or twice a year. I just wash and let air dry or style while wet or when it's dry the next day. This stuff has brought my hair back to life and doesn't have me freaking out about losing all my hair. Granted, I have been using it for just a week but I am already seeing massive progress with this product over the other brands. Plus, the price tag is WAAAAY more manageable especially with all this inflation crap. My bottles came secured with tamper seals and they both had no leaks. I WILL be ordering more in the future. Additionally, I noticed it says this product is lice repellent! That's a huge plus for me, considering my line of work and I go into the nastiest of the nasty houses at times. Bugs terrify me. I've never had lice and I never want to, so this was also a HUGE plus for me. I do notice bugs (flying ones) stay away from my hair/head. 👍 I wish I had a before and after photo for you but honestly, I didn't think this stuff would work this great!

Absolute perfection
For context, my scalp and my roots are oily (so is my skin), but my hair is colored and very long, which means that my length is normal, and the ends are a bit dry. It's always a pain to find good products that actually tend to all of my hair needs. They need to be color safe, "clarifying" enough to remove excessive oil and residues from my scalp, but not drying enough to damage my length and ends. On top of that, I've been dealing with mild hair loss, mainly on my temples and forehead hairline. I believe I found my perfect combo: the Pacifica Scalp Detox Tonic – Rosemary Apple Cider Scalp Exfoliator, which I use when my scalp feels extra oily or dirty; this First Botany Tea Tree Mint set; and the Botanic Hearth Advanced Rosemary Water Spray For Hair Growth With Peppermint and Biotin. The First Botany Tea Tree Mint SHAMPOO smells SUPER herbal. This is impossible to miss, and it's quite strong while washing. At first, I didn't know if I liked it or not, but the benefits outweigh the scent for sure. After ONE single wash, my scalp felt clean and reinvigorated. Surprisingly, it wasn't dried out, which, at the time, made me question the efficiency of this shampoo. The First Botany Tea Tree Mint CONDITIONER was a pleasant surprise, even though it smelled the same as the shampoo. It instantly made my hair feel soft and easy to detangle (I use a Tangle Teezer hair brush to distribute the conditioner better and gently get rid of pesky knots). After my hair air-dried, it was extremely soft and clean, and the overpowering herbal scent was very subdued and pleasant. The next day, it looked perfectly clean as well; I was expecting to see some oil building up, but it wasn't the case. 48 hours later, STILL no major trace of oil, which is a win in my book. At this point, with any other shampoo and conditioner set, my roots would be looking considerably dirty. It's the biggest surprise ever, considering that I apply the hair growth spray twice a day, and it contains rosemary oil in it. I felt no need to apply a dry shampoo or wash it again. This product works. I can't attest to the hair growth properties yet, but these immediate perks are absolutely incredible. Even if it doesn't bring me growth results, I will keep buying it. It's a rare win-win situation, and I totally recommend it to anyone with oily scalps and roots.

Really good product, if you like tea tree smell
I don't like the tea tree smell, but the shampoo itself is outstanding. It leaves the hair clean and sleek and soft. Which you don't really get from Dove or big brand. I have hard water and it did not leave that heavy feeling that I get with other shampoo. Will keep using but probably in the summer as tea tree is a good bug repellent, but the smell is too strong for me and it lingers for a long time. Of you like that smell then, that's the shampoo for you.

Love it! One of the best options available!
If you're a man looking for a shampoo and conditioner that can address scalp issues, control oil, and provide a refreshing sensation, a tea tree mint set might be worth considering. Initial Impressions: Scent: The invigorating blend of tea tree and mint is a standout feature. It provides a refreshing and cooling sensation during use, leaving a subtle, clean scent that isn't overpowering. Packaging: The bottles are typically designed with a masculine aesthetic, often in dark colors with a simple, no-fuss design. Performance: Shampoo: The shampoo effectively cleanses the hair and scalp, removing dirt, oil, and product buildup without stripping away natural moisture. The tea tree oil helps to soothe any itchiness or irritation, while the mint provides a refreshing tingle. Conditioner: The conditioner complements the shampoo well, providing lightweight hydration without weighing the hair down. It helps to detangle and soften the hair, leaving it feeling manageable and healthy. Benefits: Scalp Health: The tea tree oil's antifungal and antibacterial properties can help to combat dandruff and other scalp issues. Oil Control: The shampoo effectively removes excess oil, making it a good choice for men with oily hair. Invigorating Sensation: The mint provides a cooling and refreshing sensation, making it a great way to start the day. Drawbacks: Potency: Tea tree oil can be potent, and some individuals may experience sensitivity or dryness. It's essential to perform a patch test before full use. Scent: While I personally enjoy the scent, it might be too strong for some. Overall: Men's tea tree mint shampoo and conditioner can be a great option for those looking for a refreshing and effective hair care solution. The combination of tea tree oil and mint offers potential benefits for scalp health, oil control, and an invigorating experience. However, it's crucial to be mindful of potential sensitivities and choose products with a scent that you enjoy.

If you are sensitive to smells
The shampoo and conditioner themselves perform well. They lather nicely and leave hair feeling clean. The issue for me is the scent. I have a very sensitive sense of smell and tend to notice odors more strongly than others, so this may not be an issue for everyone. However, to me the scent is very potent and resembles rubber or car tires. Unfortunately, this made the product difficult for me to use, as strong or unusual scents can trigger migraines for me. If you are sensitive to smells, this may be something to consider before purchasing.

Great for scalp issues
The short - I like the product and will continue to buy. Know when purchasing that it has a very minty, earthy scent as you would expect from a tea tree shampoo. I find it is working well for the 2 very different hair types and ages using it. I have a school-aged girl with thick hair so I was on the lookout for a shampoo/conditioner lice repellant. Tea tree oil is supposed to help so I thought I’d try this out. In regard to my daughter’s hair, it works well. She has thick hair that tangles easily. As long as she uses a good amount of conditioner and works it in, we don’t have trouble with tangles and can comb through her hair easily. It leaves her hair soft, shiny, and easy to manage. Also of note, as I've ready many reviews talking about the scent - she is 7 and says she doesn't mind the scent, describing it as "minty." As for me - I have fine, thinning hair and also suffer from dandruff and scalp issues. I find that this is NOT going to be the miracle shampoo for my thinning hair that I read in other reviews (and I really wasn’t expecting it to be going into it). But I still like it. It seems to work great for my scalp issues. I find I don’t have the dryness or itching anymore. My scalp and hair feel fresh and clean after use. It doesn’t weigh down my hair, my hair doesn’t look greasy, it’s not frizzy, and it leaves it soft, hydrated, and manageable. As for the lice - well, I realize that a lot of that is the luck of the draw, but I will continue to use this and hope we don’t ever have to deal with it.

The only shampoo that has helped:)
Update - First time I ordered the delivery took forever over 2-3 weeks. Thought oh whatever, second time ordering it’s been a full week already with no updates even though I have prime and it said I would have gotten it within a day. So either order ahead of time or have a back up shampoo while waiting. Losing a star for that annoying reason:/ I have tried so many different brands and styles of shampoos, this is the only brand that has helped with my itchy dandruff scalp especially in this cold winter. After using it’s like poof magically the dandruff disappears. The bottles are smaller compared to your average store bought shampoos but I will continue buying since it’s not worth it spending that money on brands like “T/Sal & Nizoral” since they did nothing for me & would dry out my hair. My hair usually grows fast on its own but I have noticed after using this brand my hair is more silkier, shinier and has grown faster. The smell is very pleasant nothing like the “cheap fake” shampoo smells from stores. Again, the bottles do run a little smaller but I purchased back in October 2024 and it’s now February 2025 and I still have about 2 more hair washes in the shampoo bottle & a lot left in the conditioner. The lather is very rich and you don’t need much to wash so it can last a few months. Instead of the suggested “leave shampoo in for 2 minutes” I’ll turn on a show and keep the shampoo in for about 5-10 minutes and the results are much greater. So yeah! I definitely recommend trying this brand since literally for years I have used heads & shoulders, international onion shampoos (supposed to help with dandruff) & the previous brands mentioned continuing to struggle with annoying dandruff & itchy scalp. So far I’m very pleased & impressed with this shampoo/ conditioner. Give it a try!
