Pentel Permanent Marker, White, Fine Point, 1-Pack (100W-S)

Wen you need a pure white effect on your artwork,or simply something more conducive to write/draw on than:Wite-Out,after correcting a mistake you've penned,then this clever white MARKER will meet your needs sufficiently. After noticing that the narrow strip of hair between my bottom lip and my chin was starting to gray,bearing witness to my near half-CENTURY treading this blue and green orb between Mars and Venus,and serving to slow the onset of 20-something chicks hitting on me thinking me close to their nadir years of existence,due to my youthful countenance and striking ochre eyes,I began to desire the more age-worn visage my Daddy proudly exuded with his crows feet and salt and pepper beard,to complement the sage counsel on surviving the treachery-replete world teeming with opportunistic BLACK-hearted cretins I live in,so I sought to really accelerate the pace in which my immaculately trimmed strip of lower facial air was graying,by using this handy marker to totally and completely WHITEN my strip of connecting hair betwixt my lower lip and slight beard!! Apparently my ploy worked as not ONE immature,strapping young filly has accosted me since I blanched that particular region of my man-scape!! In addition,as an aspiring chronicler and embellisher,I oft alter my perfectionist opinion of something I've penned,and found that after whiting-out a segment with correction-fluid,it becomes a frustration trying to re-write,redraft or color on such material,and so this white marker proved a more viable option when it comes to revising that which needs to be revised. After obtainin a purple and black ball cap with white trim,I immediately mused that a white BUTTON at the apex of the cap would really accentuate the white trim around the cap,but unfortunately the button was JET-black,and since I am not at all adroit in replacing ball-cap buttons,I promptly sicced this astute marker on the black button,and it shortly became and currently IS a bright-WHITE button which made the cap PERFECT for me!! A similar adjustment was made with this marker on te button of my favorite hat with a Kelly green w/white border street sign reading :Tireman Avenue,were I learned te ropes of inner city survivaland effectively made my dream-hat a tad BETTER!! I am currently planning to construct a wood and wire cage for this cool cricket I've named:Romestamo,who keeps me company in the basement as I unwind to mellow melodies by Kenny Loggins,and Adriana Evans,as it chirps loudly from the remote shadows of the far reaches of my basement,and I mean to embellish this cage with a white border,dotted with small red berries,using this clever marker to beatify Romestamos new domicile,which will be located on my nitstand!!

First of all, this is not an "ink marker," at least not the one I got. This is pretty much exactly like the "paint pen" I already own that I hate. If it worked right, it would at least be an upgrade over the broader tip pen I already have. Unfortunately, it never really worked right even after following the instructions to a "T", and I managed to get paint/ink everywhere. At a minimum the one I received leaked and was defective. At worst it's just falsely advertised to begin with. I want a white ink marker, which apparently may not exist.

I bought this to number handgun magazines. They seem to do the job on the black electroless nickel finish. Any points of friction rub off but elsewhere the white marker holds up well. I have since found several other things to label. Works really well on textured/matte plastic. On smooth/glossy plastic be sure to give it plenty of time to dry. It's more a paint pen than a marker which makes it perform better on more surfaces than a Sharpie. However it's not as smooth of course. A note on use. The tip will dry out and while it comes with 4 or so spare tips, they wouldn't last the while life of the maker if you had to replace one every time you let it sit for a few day. Instead, shake & wait. Shake the pen (has a shaker bearing inside like spraypaint cans) and let hold it tip down for a minute or so. This will allow the tip to re-wet and be ready for use. I keep it in my range bag but I've found myself seeking it out often for other purposes.

The pen works ok. I'm not sure why they use wooden tips but I guess whatever works. I read the instructions and had no problems. I used it to write the letters back on my black keyboard. I cleaned it several times with alcohol and let it dry. I applied the letters and let them dry for a few minutes (didn't take too long, maybe 5 minutes). re-applied a second coat and waited. After 2 weeks it's starting to wear off a little but at least I can re-apply.

Facing an unholy obsession with the lower priced squeeze toy I purchased from Target, I couldn't let the bugger stare back at me with faded eyes. This - I discovered - was a by product of too much TLC that first stretched then removed the original color. This Pentel Permanent Marker was purchased for the sole reason of bringing sight back to the squeeze toy half the price of the pen. While a bit finicky to prime, this pen worked like a champ to bring Le Squeegee back to the land of vision. Bright color, fine point, smooth application. As a point of reference, this pen primes and writes similarly to auto paint pens, one requiring equal lessons in patience to prepare and apply. Echoing the auto paint experience, I found packaging cardboard the soundest way to test and even out paint across the Pentel pen. Cardboard provides arguably just enough surface feel and resistance to avoid drips and broken tips. Thus, I would advise against using the desired surface as your priming location.

I've been meaning to get one for a while and this one is perfect. I used to use a Pentel Paint Pen when I was a pipefitter helper, decades ago. They were the much larger ones which we used on, you guessed it, pipes to be welded or finished. My eyes are getting tired with age and whipping out a pair of readers every time I want to read fine print is a hassle. Now I can write a bit of info on dark or black non-porous surfaces. Yeay! Of course that's just one of it's uses. You can get carried away right? If this holds up even half as many years as the fat stubby ones did, I'll be amazed and very happy. It comes with a couple extra nibs too which is nice when these wear down. I used to clean the nibs now and then with some sort of solvent. I may look into that if needed.

I'm sorry but I'm afraid I can't recommend this product. To start with, it uses a wooden tip they call a "nib" to conduct the paint. It ought to be a no-brainer that wood does not conduct paint very well. I think it's a poor design. It works but only very poorly at best. I soon became frustrated with it. I am going to pitch it in the trash. I have now gone ahead and ordered a different type of product that comes in a tube with a ball point. I'm hoping that will work better. Regards, Fred M. Bought one of these Pentel 100W-S white markers a month ago to write on black surfaces. When it arrived and I read the instructions about shaking the pen until white fluid filled the reservoir I thought the pen was going to be a real headache to use and would not last long - - Wrong. The pen worked perfectly first time and every time. I use it every day in my workshop writing on wood, plastic, and metal. Thanks to the fine tip, the pen writes extremely well on those rough plastic surfaces where no other pen will work (like the black plastic carrying cases for tools). The fine tip allows you to write very smoothly and clearly on all surfaces. Just ordered 3 more pens tonight. Since the fine tip is eventually going to deform it is great that the pack contains 2 extra replacement tips (or nibs). Based on using the pen for a month, I see no downside and do highly recommend it.
