UniFi Building Bridge

I purchased a different brand originally from CCTV supplier at half the price of this kit, but they were unreliable and didn't pass VLAN traffic. In comparison, this P2P link / bridge was so easy to setup and passes VLAN traffic. I used a long screw through the middle of the mount as I could not find where to buy the original wall mount and this worked fine. Setup was really easy, I stressed about putting the two devices the right way round, but it does not matter and the cloud Key v2 picked them up, updated them and they just worked. I noticed after I had put my ladders away that they were not even really pointed at each other and there were parts of a bush growing in between but they still had a perfect and fast connection. However, being a perfectionist I corrected the direction and did what I could with the bush. The distance between them is 22M and I found that a good indicator that they are pointing at each other is if this is similarly detected in the config. After 2 months and not knowing if the gardener has chopped the bush as I requested, the link has stayed up without a single drop out even dropping to the lower speed link. After a couple of power cuts, the links have come back online quickly and without intervention. They are connected to an Arkanis managed POE+ switch so I can remotely power cycle the POE on the ports just in case there is a problem. Ubiquity does it again with a great product.

I replaced a pair of PowerBeam dishes with these. I did not need the range of the PowerBeams and they were old, causing problems with my Unifi network. The UBBs installed easily, had a great LED alignment system which allowed me to align both by myself, installed easily, and have performed reliably with good data speed. Not cheap, but worth the price.

Problème de adoption après un coupure de d'électricité l'appareil ne marchait plus. Je l'ai débrancher, reset et rebrancher pour adopter mais rien. J'ai essayé plusieurs fois pas de résultat positif. Il me demande de brancher la station alors je l'ai déjà branché. Je demandé de l'aide au forum de ubiquiti mais toujours pas de réponse. Je le déconseille.

Product is good although one POE Injector was faulty. I stopped trying to get a response from the vendor after several emails. Amazon pointed me to the vendors as by the time this materials was installed customer site the 30 days Amazon limit timed out.

We used these to bridge between 2 buildings just a few hundred feet away. Obviously this is best case scenario for this type of application and I have no complaints as far as the connectivity and ease of use. They come paired already.
