KooK French Onion Soup Crocks with Lids & Handles, Set of 4, Blue

For anyone searching for nice soup type bowls to add to their existing plates or dinnerware, I would highly recommend this brand. In short, I wanted deeper bowls than the ones we currently have, which can only hold 8 ounces. One reason for selecting the Kook bowls was because I wanted plain white, which to me, can compliment any dinnerware. Also to my surprise, these bowls came with lids. When I was searching online, I had seen other options with lids and I really liked that when I came across those products. Moreover, these bowls stack nicely on top of each other which saves some shelf space. Again, I highly recommended these bowls if you are trying to decide whether or not to purchase them. They are perfect for French onion soup.

We love the bowls! Can't imagine now using any other bowl for soup. One small problem, I am missing the lids.

We love them so much. Perfect size for homemade soups. Oven safe and stack great for storage. The little handles on the side are great for moving after it has hot contents inside the bowl. So many colors to choose from. They are thick and are a little heavier than a normal bowl, but not too heavy for a child to carry.

Well made. Love the color and did well under the broiler for melting cheese in French onion soup!

So far so good—perfect with no defects! The size is perfect- top diameter is 5” and depth is 3” The color is beautiful- almost the same color as these review stars (stars are a little darker). I love them!

UPDATE: Received a replacement in 24 hours, without having to return the broken set first. All four bowls perfectly intact. Broken set sitting on my porch for UPS to pick up, free of charge. So, return process was as hassle-free as possible. High marks for customer service. I've updated my rating from one to four stars. These are not exactly high-quality crock ware. They are pretty thin, feel a bit fragile and have a few blemishes in the glaze. But they were relatively inexpensive and fit my immediate needs. I'm guessing they will chip very easily. If I want better, I'll have to go to Williams Sonoma and pay a much higher price. Keeping my fingers crossed, because I just ordered another set in the eggplant color. The price of the white set was $32.95, while the price of the eggplant was $26.95. ORIGINAL POST: Occasionally I will order an item even though there have been a number of complaints of the product being received damaged. If there were enough positive reviews whose order came intact, I'll roll the dice. I hit the jackpot on this one! :-D I think mine were broken more completely than any of the negative reviews I read. The box was pristine on the outside, but three of the four bowls were positively demolished into multiple pieces. The fourth was chipped and cracked all the way through. Obviously not the appropriate packaging for this crock ware to survive shipping. I am supposed to receive a replacement tomorrow; I'll update when I receive it. I liked the bowls enough to give it another shot. The size was perfect for my need; the volume capacity was identical to the bowls I'm trying to replace. We'll see what happens.

Love the bowls and especially the color, but one bowl came with chip looking spots. Edit: I contacted customer service and I’m receiving a replacement for the chipped bowl. Wonderful company with excellent customer service!!!!

Nice size soup bowls. These bowls are very well made and can be used for soup, pasta, etc. The colors are nice and bright. Very satisfied.
