Harris Seriously Good 3 Pack Gloss Flat Brush Set, 1in, 1.5in, 2in

Reviewed May 2023: I really rate Harris brushes, they are top quality and I've learnt that it always makes sense to pay got quality paint brushes and if they are looked after properly in regards to cleaning and drying, will last a long time. Bristle loss is minimal, and they are fine enough to give a smooth, decent finish. Although these are packaged up as for gloss, I've used them for emulsion, priming, etc, they are very versatile. I'm now trying to only using water based paints (took a long time for me to convert), but I mistakenly bought a tin of oil based satin, didn't have time to change it, so used it with these brushes. No matter what kind of pint, I find them to be relatively long lasting if well looked after. (don't need to dunk the entire brush in the paint to clog them up, well cleaned after use, and dried flat. There are only a couple of brands of brushes I buy, Harris is one of them.

They’re not premium pro-grade tools, but for everyday decorating they’re solid, well made, and exactly what you need for cutting in and trim work. The bristles hold paint well and release it evenly, so you don’t get streaky lines or excessive splatter. Handles are comfortable enough for longer sessions, and the ferrules feel secure — no bristles falling out even after rinsing. Sizes cover the basics without clutter: the 1″ and 1.5″ are ideal for tight corners and window/door frames, while the 2″ gets through larger areas without being unwieldy. For the price these are a sensible pick if you want decent brushes that do the job without costing a lot. Not artisan quality, but very dependable for everyday painting tasks.

Cheap and cheerful, not the best quality but the name sort of guarantees they’ll at least be useable, great price point, quick delivery and cheap enough to dispose of after you’ve clogged them with gloss paint, why waste time trying to clean with expensive and harmful chemicals…good variety in sizes, reasonable bristles (that don’t come out) and lightweight.

Good brushes, I didn't lose any hairs and brush stroke lines are almost invisible. I will use these again.

No hair/bristle loss at all so they are very fit for purpose. Easy to clean, easy to handle and bonus of the 3 pack is the different brush widths are useful for coating and getting into different or more awkward to paint surfaces.
