Oil is great, but AMAZON is NOT
Great product. Too bad Amazon is AWFUL at packing it correctly. Didn't put a leak seal tape over the cap, which twisted open and leaked oil all over the inside of my box. Complete and total lack of effort/brains. Terrible business practices.

Great for Mustang 5.0 - and a note regarding tick and rattle
First, a disclaimer: if you ask 10,000 car nuts what their favorite oil is, you'll get 10,000 answers and 10,000 reasons why. So, YMMV. I originally tried this oil on a Subaru Forester, and it made the engine considerably quieter to me, but even my mom asked why the engine was suddenly not making so much noise. So it's not just me! After success on that car, I was a fan of Pennzoil Platinum (here on out referred to as PP) so I decided to go with it on my Mustang. I had changed the factory fill at 3000 miles with Ford Motorcraft 5w20, which is semi-synthetic (a blend of conventional and synthetic). Now at 8000 miles, I changed it with PP 5w20. A note to fellow Coyote owners: the engine has the typical coyote 2200 rpm rattle as well as the tick, and no, neither of them went away after using this oil. Watch videos online regarding those issues and you will go down a several-month rabbit-hole and end up with more questions than answers. From what I've found, the rattle is piston slap, which is normal and actually common in racecars. The tick is axial movement of the bottom end of the con-rod against the crank, but both parts are hardened steel and no damage will happen, especially with an oil film there. Both of these noises are caused by looser tolerances, which means NVH, but also lots of power. I have found rebuilding a small engine with new bearings, honed cylinders, and new rings, that it ends up making less power. A loose engine is faster (unless there is blowby of course). My point: don't worry unless you find metal in the oil, or it blows up. Enjoy your car. Anyway, I digress. The rattle is a little quieter when cold, possibly indicating that this has more of a 'cushioning effect' of the piston skirts at lower temperatures than the Motorcraft oil. Typical of synthetic oils -- they are better at cold temps. One other thing I noticed was that the smell of Motorcraft oil and the smell of Castrol's 5w20 Fluid Titanium is the same. I don't know if this is the additive package or the base stock, but this Pennzoil Platinum does not smell the same as those two. Not sure what that means, just an observation. Anyway, this seems like good oil. I am not worried about my engine blowing up. I would not be worried tracking my car with this oil. Buy it if it is cheaper than Castrol or Motorcraft.

Purchased 14 times
I’ve purchased 15+ jugs of 5 quarts on Amazon for three cars and one lawnmower all of them penzoil and I’e been satisfied with everything. It’s good quality oil and usually it comes with the lid taped to prevent spills. The price is very comparable to the stores but it’s nice to have it delivered. It’s so popular that it’s been out of stock on Amazon at least twice and I had to go get it at the store. But as long as they keep stocking it I’ll keep buying it.

Economical deal!
I am guilty of not getting my oil changes on time and sometimes I have to add a bit of oil to get me through. This Pennzoil is good quality oil that I can trust with my vintage vehicle. I calculated the price per quart container versus the larger bottle and there is definitely a discount benefit. It is worth it to purchase if you are a Mrs. Goodwrench such as myself who has a history of keeping the 3 vehicles I have owned running for over twenty years apiece.
