Excellent Beard Balm with a Great Natural Feel and Long-Lasting Hold
I really love this Honest Amish Heavy Duty Beard Balm. It has become a regular part of my grooming routine.Fragrance: The subtle spearmint scent is perfect—not overpowering at all. It smells clean and natural, and I really enjoy it throughout the day.Moisturizing: It does a great job keeping my beard soft and moisturized. It helps tame dryness and keeps everything looking healthier.Ease of Use: Very easy to apply. It melts quickly in my hands and spreads evenly through my beard without any hassle.Value for Money: A little goes a long way, so the 2-ounce tin lasts quite a while. Definitely good value for the quality you get.Skin Irritation: I haven’t experienced any irritation at all. It feels gentle on the skin underneath my beard.Longevity: The hold and conditioning last a long time. It keeps flyaway hairs under control throughout the day without needing constant reapplication.Overall, this is a high-quality beard balm that works exactly as expected. It keeps my beard looking neat, feels great, and smells fantastic.:::

Great Product for the New Beards or the Full Grown Beards.
Scent: It has a citrus scent with a spicy under-note. The scent is really not strong at all. I use the regular Beard Balm and lots of reviewers By the time l put on hair products and cologne or body spray the scent is gone. I really like them both. This scent is weaker and I notice it on me far less than the regular Beard Balm. ingredient list on my new tin changed slightly from what it says on my old tin. I was kinda sad about that because I LOVE the scent of this stuff and didn't consider it to be that strong in the first place. So, there you have it. If you want less scent, their new formulation has less scent.)Hold: It's not bad. I use quite a bit--mostly for the conditioning--and I think it holds up pretty well even after my 9 or 10 hour work days. It is really not a sculpting type of wax, l am looking for something stronger my beard is more bushy than l want, but l keep going through the growth phase.Conditioning: It's been every bit as good as the regular Beard Balm at softening, thickening, and keeping my beard itch and flake free. It's good stuff. Makes me wonder what I was doing growing beards without a conditioning oil.Is it greasy? Well, it's a conditioning oil. It has a bunch of different oils in it. If you've used a beard oil before, you know what you're in for. If you're wary, just use small amounts. With a small amount, your beard should soak it up quickly and you'll hardly notice anything at all. Just rub the extra in to your mustache or side burns, dont waste it.How do you use it? As recommended, I "melt" it in my hand and apply it to a damp beard. At this point, I do a "gentle" styling with my comb and wait about 10 to 20 minutes for my beard to dry. Once my beard is totally dry, I'll get out the comb or a "barrel" brush and do a more aggressive shaping and fluffing. At this point, the wax has set pretty well so you can move your beard around more.Should I buy the bigger tin? If you have a big beard, you aren't shaving it any time soon, and you want lots of conditioning and lots of hold--yes. Otherwise, this smaller tin will last you two months or so--with everyday use--depending on how much you use each day. I use the large tin and even using larger amounts it seems to last a long long time.Should I get the regular balm instead? If you aren't concerned about shaping your beard and you want good conditioning--yes.Is it worth the price? Yes. Shipping was really fast. l did see its available at Wal Marts, but l still purchased from Amazon. The tin is nice and sturdy. Combine this with a good hair conditioner for the shower and you'll love the results. Even if I only got, let's say, one month of use out of a tin, I'd still say that it's worth it. It really makes a big difference compared to growing a beard without it.

Pretty decent
I like this balm. Ingredients are clean and natural. My only complaint, and this is more personal, I wish it had more of a hold. It says “heavy duty” and to me, I’d expect more. A little does go a long way but it does melt more into an oil and I have noticed my beard and skin tend to be a bit more greasy which I’m not a fan of. Overall, it’s decent.

Honestly the best thing for the health of your beard!
I was very skeptical of this balm at first. Switching from balms is scary when you already know your balm works. I saw all the positive reviews but again that never satisfies me because Im my own worst critic. I like to know how I like things because if Im wrong then I can only blame myself. I opened the container which is bigger than most tins. I smelled it and it didnt have the smell like my old one. But I cant let that get to me because scent shouldn't be all about a beard. And I didnt really like the idea of this smelling like licorice which it doesnt really have that strong of a smell after a while. I put it on and tried it for a week. After a week I noticed my beard was not soft like it was before but durable. It was soft and durable. My last balm made my beard soft and yes it did work but it wasnt making it as healthy as this balm. I then kept using it for a while and was pretty sold. Then the other day after using this for a month I combed my beard. My beard is pretty curly and makes a lot fo knots and combing it can be a chore. So this is why I only comb my beard once a week or maybe only every other week. But when i combed my beard everything was pretty smooth. Normally I have tons of knots an Im worried about pulling out a lof of hairs. Yes hairs came out like normal but I didnt have the tangles like I normally do. Once the balm was rinsed off I could feel my beard was soft but the haris were durable. Not super soft like my last balm. I also noticed I got a little more length but not to much. This could attribute to the health of my beard. So in the end this doesnt smell super bad and isnt like those fru fru balms that are made to smell good. This is made to work well and thats it. I have a hard to deal with beard and this balm made my beard more manageable. Hopefully I will get a longer and thicker beard from this which Im already experiencing but I want more. Thanks Honest Amish for making a great product and not lying to your customers.

Brow Of The Wild
To be honest I only bought this for one reason.I had searched the vast regions of the interweb looking for a solution to my dilemma! I know you have probably heard of the term “bed head”. That’s where you wake up in the morning and depending on how you slept your hair has been compressed and formed into a wild shape. This can take sometimes hours of volcanic heat from a professional hair dryer and tons of take your pick ( hair gel, spray, Mousse etc). Well my top covering has long gone many winters ago. I now sport a magnificent beautiful bald head. However at a certain age and I’m at it I might add hair in other places develop their own personalities. I do tend to keep a full beard or goatee but this is not what I needed Honest Amish for!You might ask then what does a middle age man with a full beard and bald head need this product for?I will tell you!My right eyebrow! I can wake up some mornings and it will be in strange positions. Sometimes I think it’s trying to hold hands with my upper eyelash honestly! I have trimmed and plucked and tried to use hair products to tame this wild beast with no avail! I suppose I sleep in my right side and this is part of the cause of the problem but now I have a solution!A little dab of Honest Amish and a few gentle strokes and that brow succumbs to my will! Now I don’t have to worry about being that guy in Guardian of the Galaxy! My fears of knocking down people with my wild brow that once poked forward have all be quelled! My wife loves the new look! She asked “did you do something with your beard” and I just smile. It’s honest Amish and my little secret!I find the smell of the product pleasing and its effectiveness. for my needs to be highly satisfying. After using it on that one wild brow I decided to use it on my beard and not thinking much of it beforehand. However looking closely I did not realize how unruly it was. I run some in gently and all those protruding beard hairs laid down like wet grass after a hurricane.I can’t guarantee you that it will work for you but it’s worth a shot if you have had the same problem.Give Honest Amish a try!

Best Product I've tried so far
About me:I've grown my beard out for the first time ever. As it has gotten longer, I've had to adapt in how I care for it. I have a little bit of a medical background and the circles I run in fear beards like the plague due to poor information put out about how uncleanliness, unprofessional, dirty, etc they are... most of which I disagree... I recently read a medical study that clean shaven men actually harbor more threatening bacteria (e.g. Mrsa) than our bearded brethren... it's because the micro abrasions in the skin, warmer, temperatures, etc. allow these bacteria to feed is the theory. Anyhow, back on to reviewing the product. The product matters because looking presentable matters. So the main brands I've been using for about a period of 6 months are: Grave Before Shave, Viking Revolution, and now the Honest Amish regular (not Heavy Duty).I've been using Grave Before Shave the longest as the fragrances have been interesting and the product fairly consistent. The brand logos/art for different fragrances is pretty neat/entertaining too. The hold has been decent overall, but it seems as I go throughout the day it only lasts for a few hours or so before the fly aways kick in and it has a subtly oily residue. Overall, a solid product.Viking Revolution is the first beard balm I began with. I didn't know any better at the time but it made the thinner parts of my beard greasy, stringy/thin, and oily looking. I wasn't sure what was causing all of this, but time and experience have helped me in learning to style a beard that is a few inches from my chest now... I'll probably throw this product away. I don't like it touching my beard. The regular version of the Honest Amish beard balm just didn't hold well and the fragrance was nothing interesting (it's ok, just doesn't stand out much). I'm not much interested in the fragrances anymore, but more so a product that just works and gets me through the day. This version of balm is more like a moisturizer than something to keep flyaway hairs in place. The Honest Amish Heavy Duty Beard Balm is now my default go-to. It does not have much of a greasy feel in moderation, gives my beard a moisturized matte-appearance , and is very easy to get out of the container and apply... texture of a smooth-sticking paste. I'll be using my grave before shave for daily use (running around), but the Honest Amish will be my default go to for a product I know works well and I'm confident in for work and dressing up on occasion. The fragrance is subtle and subsides within the hour.I like this enough that I'm going to order a 4oz container after just receiving my 2oz container within the week. I don't want to risk not having any how this stuff on hand/beard.

It works but at what cost?
Item arrived melty and messy. Contacted support and said they would give me a refund, but never did. Decided not to fuss on it, and just try the product out. Bought this two months ago, and have used it 3-4 times a week. It definitely works to tame hairs, add moisture for a while. The worst part is...the GRITTINESS... if that's how you spell it. I wanted to like the product but this product really has to be worked into your hand to get the grit pieces out of it. Even if you do that you will still get pieces in your beard.Imagine finding a decent beard balm.....ONLY to have little pieces of the balm that don't "smear" away...to be left in your beard...like little oily crumbballs left to hangout in your jungle forest of a beard.(I looked past the poor/damaged packaging and honestly gave this a shot! For two months!)

Great Balm
I've gone through my fair share of beard oil/balm to find something that works for me. This really seems to nail a good balance of hold/moisturizing, without being overly greasy. The smell is a mix of spice and molasses. It's very unique to what I've used in the past and I was really surprised by it - but in a good way. It definitely suits the brands name haha. The balm itself is on the softer side, but with some good hold. My beard is pretty curly so between this and my morning routine (straightening/brushing) this has been excellent at softening my beard. A little bit also goes a long way, I use probably just over a dime-size of balm and it works for my beard (longish length).Overall, very happy and I will continue to support this brand based on this balm alone.
