Good thick but soft rubbery material, holds firm in use. Fits tightly, but wasn't hard to install. The corners are beefy, and there are custom openings for all speakers, mics, plugs, etc. If the tablet is laid screen-down on a table, the cover keeps the display well separated from the surface. I like the subdued navy-blue color better than just black too.
