⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Accurate, Reliable, and a Total Game Changer for Long Cooks
The ThermoPro TP27 has completely changed the way I monitor my grill and smoker. I used to rely on a standard ThermoPro 2‑probe setup, which meant walking outside at regular intervals just to check temps. With this model’s dedicated long‑range monitor, all that stress — and all those trips to the smoker — are gone. The 500‑foot range is legit, and the signal stays strong no matter where I am in the house or yard. The four probes are incredibly convenient for tracking multiple meats or monitoring both internal and ambient temps. They’re accurate, heat up quickly, and the color‑coding makes it easy to keep everything straight. The display is bright and easy to read, and the controls are intuitive right out of the box. What I appreciate most is how hands‑off it makes long smokes. Whether I’m cooking brisket, ribs, pork shoulder, or chicken, I can trust the readings without constantly lifting the lid or babysitting the smoker. It’s taken a huge amount of guesswork out of the process. If you grill or smoke regularly, this thermometer is absolutely worth it. Reliable, accurate, and a massive quality‑of‑life upgrade for any BBQ setup.

Great temp monitoring system
This is a straight forward temp monitor and probe system. I have previously owned the Meater probe bundle and had so many issues with connections lose. I ended up throwing it out after 2 years of use. I looked at these Thermopro monitors and love the product this far. In have used it to smoke brisket, pork butts and twice smoked spiral hams. The temps are very accurate when compared to my Thermapen which is nearly 2 times the price of this unit. Another function that I appreciate is that there is no Bluetooth or wifi connections to fail. The probes are wired, yes, but that is a minor flaw, well, not a flaw in my experience compared to true wireless temp monitoring. The remote display is a direct transmission from the main monitor. It is convenient and highly portable. It's magnetic so I place it on my refrigerator while in use. My only gripe is that periodically the unit will turn itself off while in the middle of a cook. According to the manual, this is a built in feature to conserve battery life. The unit will air shit off when not receiving temp fluctuations for a period of time ~10 minutes is what I recall. This would be nice if I could turn that feature off. Battery life is really great on this unit. I like that it's AA and not some rechargeable crap that's dead when you want to use it. All in all, your is a great temp monitoring system. Great value, great experience, good quality.

Excellent digital thermometer for smoking/bbqing
I purchased the TP28 to replace an inexpensive bluetooth thermometer received (and returned) as a Christmas gift. The bluetooth thermometer continually would have issues connecting to the app, even when I was standing right next to it - essentially unusable. On top of that, the button cell battery died after only a few hours of use. Enter the TP-28. This thing is everything the other thermometer was not. 1: Simple (no buggy app to install or deal with) - and 2: reliable (never once had an issue with the receive not picking up the signal from the transmitter). I didn't test whether the 500ft claim is truly accurate, but I did take the transmitter all over the house without any trouble picking up the transmitter. As for accuracy, I checked both probes multiple times (before and after my cook) and the one probe was spot on (212 degrees in boiling water) and the other initially read 211 (but later read 212 on my 2nd test). A few minor improvements I'd love to see added in a future version: 1) I wanted to see what would happen if the transmitter dies, so I tried turning it off as well as removing the batteries to simulate the batteries in the transmitter dying. Unfortunately, nothing happened on the receiver except an indicator that flashes when data is received stopped flashing. Digging through the manual, it looks like there's an alarm after 30 minutes. For me, this delay is way too long. I'd rather have it be as short as 1 minute to ensure the grill doesn't change outside the set temp range and I don't get notified. It would be nice if this delay was user-configurable. I'd like to be able to use this thermometer overnight for long smoke sessions, and not knowing for 30 minutes if the transmitter battery dies is a bit concerning due to the possibility of the grill temp going outside the target range. 2) no way to disable beep when buttons pressed. When you're messing w/ programming the transmitter before starting a cook, all the beeping can get annoying every time you press a button. I wish there was a way to disable the beeping, as you can see the display change when you press a button (so no need for an audio cue as well) 3) I think the transmitter's alarm only has two settings: flashing the backlight and beeping. I wish there was another option: off. When smoking overnight, it's nice to have the outdoor alarm be silent, so it's not making noise that could disrupt people sleeping in earshot of transmitter. It would also be nice to not have the flashing backlight unnecessarily wear down the battery. These issues are fairly minor, and overall this is an outstanding product. I don't know how I've gone so long without such a device, but thanks to the TP-28, never again!

Works as described
These work just as described, I've used them for several different types of meat and they've worked great every time. I'm using Amazon basics rechargeable batteries and after about 15 or 20 uses they're still working great. The cord storage on the probes is not really that convenient to use, they always make them so that you have to wind it perfectly for everything to fit right but who ever does that after they use them? It would be nice if it was a little bit better designed for real world use. But other than that I would definitely recommend these if you're looking for a product like this. Very simple to use and has a good range, I've never had them lose connection anywhere I am in my house or backyard, I live on one acre and have a 1600 square foot single story home. No problems or issues with this product other than the cord storage of the remote units being finicky.

Can't Smoke Without It
My husband and I joke about my Amazon purchases. We rank them on a tier list, and this one definitely qualifies for "S Tier." I have one of those smokers that has its own built-in probes, but the brand of smoker that I have has some Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connectivity issues to my phone. I frequently lose connection, so I wanted an alternative option to make sure that I know the temperature of what I'm smoking. This probe unit has been godsend and I only wish I found it sooner. I can have the unit outside in my backyard and I can have the readout on the portable screen inside the kitchen with me while I prepare everything else for dinner. I actually used this to check multiple parts of the turkey I smoked for Thanksgiving, too. It made the process so much easier and I knew when to rotate the turkey to avoid hot spots (I spatchcocked, if you're curious. It came out great) and the readability made the process super easy. I could read the temperatures from across the kitchen. The ONLY caveat is that The magnet fell out of the back of the little portable unit, and I'm not sure when it happened. I don't know if I dropped it or if the adhesive to the unit perhaps failed, but I'll have to just get another magnet at the hardware store and it feels like a non-issue for me. The bigger unit also magnetizes very well, I was able to stick it right to the side of the smoker and currently it's stationed on the side of my fridge, waiting for the next smoking project. The unit held up very well even getting snowed on, although I tried to shelter it the best I could around the side of the smoker but it didn't seem to affect performance at all. The accuracy also seems to be pretty good, I also purchased an instant readout thermometer and everything seemed to match up. If you're waffling on whether to get it, I can only say that I would buy it again, every chance I got.

Wow just Wow!! This is a great unit!!
Ok, so in a nutshell this thing is fantastic. There is a learning curve but nothing to difficult to master. However coming from a TP-07 this thing is the one to go with. Now the learning curve...you have to go through several button presses to dial in the temps you want to set for each probe. Additionally, the lack of pre programmed temps is a disappointment but not enough to take a star away. Once you learn the sequence to program it you will find that it is as easy as riding a bike. I have done two smokes with this and on my second smoke I did not have to consult the instructions (a mans kryptonite). The probes were temping +/- 1.5 degrees. Which is acceptable to me. I think some changes that would take this over top would include...quick access to either probe so that you can easily program the temps you want. Adding preloaded temps and allowing you to adjust from there would make it even more user friendly. Adding the ability to disable the alarm from the receiver on both the receiver and transmitter would be great. During my smokes I could still hear the main units temp alarm going off even though I disabled the alarm on the receiver. And last but not least probably the only issue is any for this unit is having that touch area where you would naturally grab it. I can't count on hands and feet how many times I grab it there and constantly turn the light on and off. I'm pretty sure this is going to run batteries down a lot sooner than they should be. I think just adding a light button would suffice or make an existing button dual function where it can turn the light on and off. Other than that this is a great unit, and having the four probes for a BBQ guy is game changing. If they could only make this unit with some improvements and water proof for those unexpected rainy days then it by far will be the wireless thermometer to get. As it is now this is a Good Buy and you will not be disappointed! FYI: All of my reviews are buy me and me only. I do not receive product to test no will I ever do so. I want people to get out of the reviews what they were actually meant for. I give praise for a product where it is due however I will show no mercy for a product that is no where near what it claims to be. Always be careful when products have high numbers of reviews and the vast majority are positive.

Game changer
Pretty easy to figure out and works great. Such a game changer when using my smoker. Seems accurate and the best part is I don't have to keep going outside to check temperatures affording me time to stay inside to prep other foods. Love the temperature alarms you can set for each probe.

Love this temperature probe.
Wish I would have purchased this earlier. I have another model of Thermapro temperature probe, which works great, but doesn't have the remote unit. I also have a wireless probe from another company that is supposed to communicate with my phone. The wireless probe from another company is finicky in connecting with my phone and frequently drops connection. The other one from Thermapro works great but I have to go out to the patio to see it. This new unit with the remote monitor works great and allows me to monitor meat and grill ambient temps anywhere in home and maintains a strong connection to the base unit. I don't need another app on my phone either. Just set the base near me or clip to my belt. The probe is also very accurate and matches up with my instant read probes findings.
