Yeast-tastic!
New Mom of twins here and with that came a short supply of milk. I have been trying various things to try and get milk flowing so I tried this powder and itโs like the flood gates finally broke and I have two happy babies. I made scrumptious oatmeal chocolate chip cookies with the powder first. Itโs very simple to do, you just choose your favorite cookie mix and then blend the powder in with the other dry ingredients. It did not alter the taste of my cookies at all which was great. I noticed a change in my milk supply within 36 hours. If you would like to try my cookies, hereโs how I made them: 6 tablespoons of Brewers Yeast Powder 2 cups flour 1 tsp salt 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp cinnamon 2 tbsp flaxseed meal 4 tbsp water 1 cup unsalted butter ยพ cup brown sugar ยพ cup white sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp vanilla extract 3 cup old fashioned oatmeal 1 ยฝ cup chocolate chips 1. Mix your flaxseed and water and set to the side for 3 minutes. 2. Blend brewers yeast, flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt using a sifter. 3. In a separate large bowl mix together butter and sugars, then add your eggs in one at a time. 4. Stir in your flaxseed mix with vanilla extract and blend well. 5. Add dry ingredients to the butter mixture. 6. Add oatmeal, chocolate chips and if you wish a ยฝ cup of nuts into your mixture. 7. Place into fridge for an hour. 8. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes 9. Enjoy your yummy cookies! You can freeze your left overs and bake anytime youโre ready! I froze mine for a week and they tasted just like I baked them the first time! The second time I tried the powder was the following morning in my morning shake. I used oat milk, various berries, 2 tablespoons of the brewers yeast powder and ice. Iโve noticed the more acidity I use, the greater the sourness grows. I recommend sticking to more dairy like ingredients to balance the flavors out. Even with the fruit, it wasnโt an unbearable taste by any means. I recommend this to any new Moms who need a milk supply boost because it did work for me personally. Also keep in mind staying hydrated helps milk flow significantly. This powder works its magic best when youโre hydrated!

Smells and tastes of yeast
I believe this is a great option if you are looking for brewers yeast. Itโs not too expensive like other brands. I will say that even though this was โunflavoredโ I could taste it and I did not enjoy the taste it brought to the brownies I made. Iโll have to see if changing the amount of it would result in a better outcome. Overall I would recommend.

Tastes great not like the typical brewers yeast taste
I made no bake lactation bites with this and WOW what a difference this brand has in taste compared to just regular ole brewers yeast, they came out super yummy that I actually want to eat all of em compared to when I just used regular brewers yeast bought at a whole foods store, if any mommas are needing brewers yeast to up there supply this is the one I'm telling youu nothing honestly compairs to this brands taste and quality, I also got it in less then 24hrs after I ordered and everything was as expected. Ive seen a very small increase in supply but I know it's gonna take about a week or so to fully see it I will update when I see an increase as well l.

Yucky taste
Iโm not certain that Iโve noticed a dramatic impact on my milk from this. Itโs definitely not flavorless, a concerted effort was made, but it absolutely has a very strong flavor. It does not dissolve in hot or cold liquids, and it will sit at the bottom of whatever youโre drinking and then you have to drink silt liquid to get it all once youโre down to the bottom of your cup. It mixes decently in smoothies, but you need to have a lot of strong fruit to mask the smell and taste. I tried the brand Kate Neutrals as well and again, I canโt vouch towards efficacy, but it doesnโt taste as bad. I do appreciate that it is all made in America, but Iโm not sure if I will be buying this product again.

I was feeling really nervous about my milk supply since I noticed itโs been going down since I started working out. I bought brewerโs yeast per the recommendation of friends. Literally the first day taking this at night, I woke up engorged and pumped 6 oz in my MOTN pump, which is a LOT for me (Iโm usually 2-2.5 oz a pump). The smell and texture leave much to be desired so I canโt say that itโs delicious. You can definitely smell and taste the yeast if youโre blending it into a smoothie. Maybe youโd have better luck making brownies/cookies in terms of not tasting it. I just drink my smoothie really fast to get it over with and get the results. Also, to forewarn you, it may make you quite gassy to be sure to check to see how your baby handles it also.
