Nice, substantial quality
I ordered 2 pairs of the Compression sleeves to use during exercise and to wear to keep my edema in check. At first the sleeves were a little tight, but after a few times wearing them, you get use to the compression. I had other compression sleeves, but they were made out of thinner material, these are nice and thick. I have worn these several times now and they really do wonders for me during workout (less pain, cramps) and my edema is less painful and my calves feel less heavy. I would buy these compression sleeves again and would recommend them to anyone. Not only do they work well, they feel good and the price compared to other compression sleeves is a real bargain. Also, I had an issue with one of my orders and contacted the seller - outstanding customer service, almost instant answer and if you have a problem, they will work with you until you are happy!

Good
My calf measures 13.5" I'm 5'8" 135 lbs. with long legs. After reading through Q&A and reviews, I ordered the SM/ML. They came quickly but after a struggle to get one on, I realized it was way too tight. The return and reorder process went easily except now Amazon puts the credit to your Amazon account instead of your credit card, if you're not careful. The replacement came super fast and they fit perfectly. Still a slight struggle to get on the first time, but the pressure is perfect. I only wear one on my right leg for a bulging, knotty varicose vein. It feels much better having the support. Seems like good quality, is very comfortable and I love the pink stripes at the bottom.

Kind of long but then again I am short. Could do with more pressure in the calf area.
Okay so first of all these are very long, to the point where I need to have the bottom cuff positioned at the arch of my foot, rather than my ankle. As if I were these the way they are in the picture the top cuff would sit just above my knee and it hurt to feel the pressure from the top band behind my knee. The pressure is quite nice on my feet, but I could do with more pressure in the calf area For reference I am 5 foot 1 roughly 110 lb with an athletic build. I am uncertain how well the bottom half that I have in my feet will hold up as they don't have a built-in heel cup, unfortunately that may potentially wear away faster. They have stayed in place quite nicely, but I have just been at work, not at the gym so I'm unsure as to how they will perform when in a more strenuous setting so far. I will be back to update this review in a few days! So far it's a good product I just wish there was more compression in the calf area!

Yes! Yes! Yes!
My first impression of these upon trying to put them on was wow these are tight! After getting them in place however that impression was replaced with wow these feel great! They fit very tightly to my legs but in a secure comfortable way that definitely makes my legs feel much better during a vigorous workout than what they normally feel without them. I like to play full court, full speed, basketball a lot and as a result I have nagging shin splints that just seem to never go away even when I give them periods of rest. Since the price on these were so good I decided that I had nothing to lose with giving them a chance and after wearing them the first time I was amazed at how much they decreased my discomfort from the shin splints. My favorite two things about these sleeves besides the awesome price is that they always stay securely in place and they are very breathable so your legs don't feel sticky at all while you are wearing them. A side benefit to these especially if you wear them while playing a sport like basketball where you grab a 2-3 minute breather from time to time is that they keep your shins and calves nice and warm while you are taking a short rest so when you start back nothing has cooled off and tightened up. Although these seem very durable I have only been wearing these for about a week so I have no idea how long they will last but the price on these is so good and they get the job done so well that even if they only lasted a month I would consider the money spent more than worth it. There were also some power bands in the box with these sleeves for anyone who might use those but since I don't I just gave them to my son and last I saw he was using them to shoot rocks like a slingshot. In short, I highly recommend these to anyone who wants a nice secure, breathable, compression sleeve. I bought some compression sleeves a while back at a large sporting goods store that starts with a D and rhymes with Ricks and they were not nearly as comfortable as these and even worse they were three times the price!

SORT OF SATISFIED CUSTOMER
UPDATE 9/23/16: And my apologies, I should have updated three weeks ago, but haven't had time... They DID give me back a half of my purchase price refund for my issues, so he did do SOMETHING towards making it right. But the issues are still the same, so I'm updating my starts to three instead of one, but leaving the rest of my original view unedited because those are my thoughts and opinions and actual happenings. So let's start this review with I bought the size L/XL made for 14 to 19 in calves. I received these in a very timely manner and was pleased with that, and wore them for a day with a few issues. First, they are very tight and hard to get on over your feet. Second, they are about a half inch too long on a calf that measures 11 1/2 inches tall, so they bunch up and have wrinkles depending on where you bunch them. Third, the ankle band is to tight that it tends to cut into your ankle and after about 15 minutes to an hour, your ankle starts to swell, and foot starts to turn red (I have an 11 inch ankle). The band at the top under your knee is not as tight, but because of the over long-ness of these it bunches and starts to cut off circulation there too and hurts. NOW, that said, I like the actual fit of these along the calf (my calf is 17 inches at the thickest point), and the compression overall and they DO hold better at their 15-20mmHg compression at $12.99 than the other pair I bought (CEP Women's size IV for $35 that offer 20-30mmHg compression and are about a half inch too short, but are NOT too tight around the knee and ankle, so I wear those). The other reason for my one star rating is the co-founder Adam's customer service skills and acknowledgement of these issues. My husband had decided he wanted to try them for his job and see if he liked them, so I'd not contacted him about a refund or exchange, so he contacted me first to see if I have any problems, how I liked them, etc. I sent him the following reply with the pic attached: <start quote> Hey Adam, I wanted to wait a couple of days before I responded to any emails or review requests for these sleeves to give them a try out period first. I bought yours and also a pair of CEP women's size IV (for up to 17.5 in calves) and compared the two. When I tried these out, I have to say that I like the compression in them a lot more because they have a stronger "hold" feeling to them. And this is interesting because the compression on your sleeves are rated at a 15-20mmHg and the CEP sleeves are rated at a 20-30mmHg compression. Yours hold better than the CEP, but the CEP are pretty comfortable and do work well, too. Your sleeves do fit my legs, but the thicker bands around the knee at the top and ankle at the bottom do tend to bite in a little bit and after a little bit of wear start to hurt. Especially the ankle because it is extremely tight there. It also bunches up (especially behind my knees) because they are about 1/4 - 1/2 inch too long for my calves. I ordered the L/XL because that is the size rated for my 17 in calves. I wonder if you have a XXL if it would fit in my ankle better, but then the rest of the sleeve where it holds compression on my muscles will be too big and not hold compression as well. Kind of at a loss here. In the meantime, my husband has tried these on, and he says that the tightness at the knee and ankle are a bit annoying after a while, but he likes them and he'll take them from me. I on the other hand, will keep using my CEP sleeves that I paid $35 for. (You guys definitely have them beat on price, your sleeves are a bit thicker and better quality, and I think will last longer.) Jazzie PS: Thanks for the bonus coupon. Will have to see what I do with these before I think about buying again. I did put them on to re-evaluate my statements while writing, and in the 15 minutes I've had them on my left leg, my ankle is throbbing and is starting to swell. Pic at conclusion of this message is attached. <end quote> His reply was almost immediate: From: Physix Gear Sport - Amazon Marketplace <[email protected]> To: Jazzie Sent: Monday, August 29, 2016 9:36 PM Subject: Re: Your New Calf Compression Sleeves Order ID : 1 of Calf Compression Sleeve for Men & Women by Physix Gear Sport (L/XL) - Black 14in 19in [ASIN: B01A0RVB0K] ------------- Begin message ------------- Hi Jazzie, I am sorry for the trouble! The Sleeves are designed to compress, adjust, and can sometimes take getting use to - around 4-5 days. I would highly recommend you to wear the sleeve in intervals until you get use to it. I hope it feels better after couple uses. Kind Regards, Adam Co-Founder Physix Gear Sport -----------------------------End Message----------------------------------------- So, since I spent a month doing research on these BEFORE buying anything and read about 200 of the NEGATIVE reviews looking for stuff like this BEFORE deciding on these, my reply and final review of this product are as follows: Jazzie Today at 10:06 PM To Physix Gear Sport - Amazon Marketplace CC Ten1000shadesofgray Message body This is not a matter of getting used to the sleeves. I am fully aware and understanding of the compression aspect of the sleeves and how that works, and if you read the message at all, gave you props because I liked yours better than the ones I paid $35 for in that regard. I also stated that yours would be more comfortable to wear if not for the two issues that I have with them that make them unwearable for me. The first ISSUE is the fact that the ankle part of this sleeve is made too small and is cutting off the circulation and causing my ankle to swell, which if you would have looked at the attached picture, you'd have clearly seen. As compression sleeves are designed NOT to stretch permanently with wear/use, this will ALWAYS be an issue, and the SECOND issue is the fact that your sleeves are about A HALF INCH TOO LONG, which causes them to bunch up on my legs and also causes circulation/swelling issues and undue pain when it comes to the need to wear these sleeves between 8 and 12 hours per day, at least five days per week, which makes your sleeves USELESS to me!!! My husband has stated that they work for him, so he intends to wear them for his job as a cook where he is on his feet for 9-10 hours a day, so I won't ask you for a refund of my $12.99. What I will do instead is post this entire thread as a review of your product on the Amazon review page, change your seller feedback to one star instead of five, look into the idea of contacting Amazon support with your b/s response, and consider posting this to Facebook as a public post that anyone can see as well. Have a nice day! Jazzie :)

These work and stay up.
I use these daily for neurological issues in my lower legs. My legs feel supported for walking, a workout, or just hanging out. They are tight enough, but not too tight and extend from ankles to just below the knees. I am female, 5'9 1/2".

Item fails on every level
Bought this item for swelling in my legs. I have been using cotton-based compression sleeves (ankle to knee) for one year and they work beautifully. The material is 80% cotton, 13% Spandex and 7% nylon. They are cool in the summer and comfortable for long-term wearing. Problem is I need to get them from my doctor who cuts the sleeves from a long roll. I need my own source of compression sleeves. I researched and came up with the Physix Sport Compression Calf Sleeves for Men and Women (20-30mm hg). I never got to wear them. Why? Here are the reasons. - The material actually measurd shorter than my ankle to my knee and I am on the shorter side - 5'9" - with only a 29" inner seam. The Physix product should have fit me perfectly. I measured them against my leg because I couldn't put them on. - The color ran significantly when I washed them - filling the sink with blue dye. I used ERA for delicates as the detergent and cool water and hand washed only in a sink. I then only squeezed them out and not wringed them out as instructed. - When they dried they were stiff and not soft like my cotton sleeves that I wash the same way. - The BIG problem. The top and bottom of the sleeves are cuffed and sewn as expected. But the product could NOT fit over my feet and my feet are both small (only a size 9 men's) and not swollen at all - only my leg swells. I had just taken off the cotton sleeves, so my legs and feet were not swollen. I pulled the Physix product hard and the ankle part would not pass over my feet no matter what I did: folded them over, stretched them wider with my fingers to fit, etc. The upshot is the Physix sleeve is a poorly designed product. Though made from nylon and spandex - which should work - the sleeves are shaped wrong and cannot be worn. I am going to purchase the sleeve my doctor gives me - Surgigrip sleeves. I have no choice for now. I did not return the product because I had thrown away all the packaging - my bad - and just ate the cost. I have NO intention whatsoever to ever purchae a Physix product again.

Do a GREAT job - wish I'd bought them sooner
I bought these to wear both while hiking and also while painting outdoors (landscape painting, not houses), which requires me to stand for a few hours at a time. Lousy veins run in my family, and as I've gotten older (I am 52), I've noticed my veins will be distended sooner and long when I'm standing or exercising...and that also contributes to leg fatigue. I got the size S/M, and they took a bit of work to get on, which translates to effective compression. I wore them with either nylon hiking capris in army green (which no doubt made me look like a total freakshow, but who cares) or black capri leggings, in which case they just looked like tights. Made a huge difference! I was wearing them in temps that were in the mid to high 80's during the day, so I was pretty warm, but worth the trade-off. Bonus: they protect from sun exposure. I was wearing Altra trail running shoes and sand gaiters with these as well. The quality is very good, I don't see them stretching out easily, especially if you take the time to handwash them. I will be using them on future backpacking trips, longer trail runs and hikes, and snowshoeing in the winter.
