I love desertcart too because I saw the same one a few weeks ago priced at 15.00 so I feel like I did great picking this up for less than 8.00! My son is 18 months, the recommended age says 2+ but he really has gravitated towards puzzles so if your child is younger than 2 and loves puzzles, I don't see why this wouldn't be appropriate, the pieces are big enough that they are not a choking hazard. The puzzle pieces are also educational, we do the puzzle together and we say the names of the pieces-plane, bus, ambulance ect...he enjoys that connection. His favorite piece is the bus lol and every time he sees a bus lately he has said bus! So I like the fact that these pieces are related to things we see regularly. Underneath the pieces are corresponding pictures that make it easier for them to match the piece. Puzzles are great for enhancing memory and hand eye coordination in little one's. This non-electronic toy is played with more and used more for learning and development than any of the electronic toys I have, so it is well worth the price.
