This soup mix is wonderful can be made in any way you like. Great price and quality.

Arrived on time & intact :) Very high mark up compared to buying at a grocery store!!!! But, we have to order groceries right now & glad to have found it!!! :)

I love this soup. It's so easy to change it so that it's not the same every time by adding different seasonings and vegetables. I make it in a big pot and freeze part of it in individual servings. It lasts a long time since I'm making it for only for myself and can never use the whole package at once.

Very good product. Taste great. I added more veggies than suggested. Also, I would recommend to add more water because the mix is very absorbent and if you want more soupy then casserole consistency then use 1 to 4,5 or 5 cup ratio.

I am sad to say I was quite disappointed with this product. I don't question the quality of the ingredients. It's just that the combination does not work well together. The split peas, red lentils, barley, and pasta in this mix all need different cooking times, so in order to have the barley and split peas adequately cooked, the red lentils and the alphabet pasta end up being overcooked and turning to mush. No way were the peas and barley done within the hour time frame indicated on the package. I guess some people might like the fact that there are no seasonings in this mix so that they can season it any way they want. But the convenience of a mix is somewhat lost on me when I have to also come up with seasonings. Throwing some dried grains, legumes and pasta together is the easy part! I'm an experienced cook and have no problem coming up with seasonings-- but when using a mix, I don't want to have to do that. It would have been nice if the package offered a sample recipe. The cooking instructions basically give you a water-to-mix ratio and cooking time, but only says you can add your own seasonings and veggies of choice, with no recipe offered as an example. I ended up adding diced tomatoes, fresh cut green beans, diced carrots, onion, basil, oregano, salt, pepper, and fresh minced garlic. The taste was good, but no pasta alphabets were in evidence as they all overcooked waiting for the barley and peas to soften. Sorry, but you can't throw anything in a bag and call it "soup." Pasta never takes an hour to cook-- maybe 8-10 minutes-- so why put it in a soup with an hour-plus cooking time?
