I read a ton of reviews including the negative ones. I was on the fence but my nails and cuticles were such a mess, I finally ordered the kit. I had been trying a variety of products before this. None really worked. I was thinking about going to get my artificial nails back on after growing them out during the pandemic, but I tried this first. It's been 10 days. Before I get into my hands, let me tell you about my toenails. I've used the nail file and buffer on them and they look amazing after one use. I've never seen them look this great. The cuticles are smooth and it looks like I spend a lot of time taking care of them. The edges are so smooth, nothing like you get at the nail salon. Let me address the cuticle cream. It does not leave your hands feeling sticky. It dries and feels like you have the nail bed to skin "sealed". I have no desire to pick at them. It seems to seal the skin so that it won't peel giving me the urge to pull the peel off. That is a big plus for me. I would buy this just to get the cuticle cream. It's lightweight so not really a cream--more like a light weight lotion that heals. The nail file quickly gets your nails in shape. Much faster than the files I use. It also worked very well on my toenails. Quick. The buffer also works quickly. Follow the instructions on how many swipes to make. This system for the price is the best I can find. You would have to really hunt everywhere to put individual items together that were as good as this system--and it would cost much more. The bonus for me besides the healing cuticle cream is now I can do my toenails in a matter of minutes and they've never looked better. Love this system.

For many years, I've kept my fingernails trimmed very short for convenience and practicality for typing, etc. With that, I haven't paid much attention to whether or not they look good. For one thing, I don't like to wear nail polish - it's messy, doesn't last, and isn't good for nail health. I've been a little jealous of my friends' nails, but a lot of them wear acrylics and I didn't want to do that, either. So, I decided to try buffing, and after some research, I ordered the Onsen Secret Japanese Nail Buffer and Shine Kit. It came yesterday, and I used it immediately: file, cuticle cream, and buffer. What a difference! It was so easy to use. The file was great - didn't leave my nails rough at all. The cuticle cream (just a tiny drop on each nailbed) was soothing and absorbed beautifully. And the buffer - WOW!!! I used it as directed, first the silver side, then the green, and then a final polishing buff with the white side. I can't believe the difference in the appearance of my nails! In less than ten minutes, they went from ridged and dull to smooth and glowing with a nice sheen! At age 72, I've finally found a nail care regimen that I not only can live with, but which really shows good results. Yes, I'll still keep my nails short, but now they can look very nice anyway. I have nails that are thinnest tissue paper – and unless I’m gonna get them done with a gel or an acrylic coating – I might as well not have any fingernails at all. They just break, crack, split, and just generally look like I don’t care. The fact of the matter is I do care about my hands and the way they look. I don’t have to look fancy, but I do like to look maintained. I read an article about something called a Japanese manicure. When I went to the salon to ask about a Japanese manicure – the little Vietnamese lady just shrugged and said, she knew. So I went online and did a little more digging to learn about a Japanese manicure. Then I came to Amazon to see what products they had. That could help me towards getting nicer, looking nails using a Japanese manicure. This is what I stumbled on. I made the purchase. I have been happily using this product for a very long time. This particular order was a gift for a friend who has nails very similar to mine, being she’s in the beauty business, and her hands are always in chemicals, I got her this product as a gift I hope she likes it as much as I like mine. If you follow the instructions, it’s very easy to use and to do. And I love it. I did not expect that my nails would get as strong as they have. I’m not putting any chemicals on them. But I am paying attention to them in a way that I probably never paid attention to them before and I’m keeping them filed and buffed and cuticles oiled and moisturized. Except for the first few weeks, you don’t have to do something to your nails every single day. I’m at the point now or once a week , I make it a point to sit down when I watch a particular TV show on Friday evenings and that’s when I do my maintenance with the product on my nails. I can actually go for two weeks or more without really having to watch my nails closely. And believe me, if I go a little too long, my nails, do crack if I bump them into something. Then I have to tidy them up and start the process all over my weekly routine. What I like is that I don’t spend hours in the salon getting nails done that only last me two weeks. I’m not constantly with my hands and UV dryers or getting chemicals put on them. And it’s a whole lot less expensive than buying this set once and it lasts months. Call me surprised! Call me pleased! And call me saving money I love all three of those try it I think you’ll love it! Oh, and if you do wanna polish, your own nails, just scuff the tops of your nails, a little bit, apply your favorite polish And go to whatever party or event that you’re going to. And in a day or two later when you want to take the polish off do it and just make sure your nails are filed buffed and your cuticles oiled and you’ll pick up right where you left off. Great product and I love it.

I have had this product for a few months now. I have oil and the cuticle nail cream. Massage it morning and night keep your hands and nails moisturized my nails have always been short and brittle, especially after getting gels and acrilic nails my whole life. My nails have gotten longer less brittle a few still broke at first but I definitely can tell a difference. Be patient first month instead of letting them grow long. Keep filing the short let the weaker parts of your nail come off. Only buff once a week. Use the file and smooth once a month if needed. You can tell when your nails need it

I used this nail buffing system as soon as it arrived. I've never been one to give my nails regular maintenance, so I was curious to see what kind of results I would get. Just after a single use of the file, buffer, and cuticle serum, my nails are transformed! They're so polished and shiny that they look like I've applied some kind of clear top coat or something! I'm seriously impressed. I read the instructions carefully, and I recommend any future buyer does the same. Also, I did a bit of research and learned that you really don't need to apply that much pressure when you use the buffing block. I'm sure going a little easier will help it last longer. I'm also going to keep it wrapped up in the plastic it came in and store it in the original box in-between uses. I definitely recommend this product! Update: I followed the instructions and waited 10 days to use the product and my nails look even better! The shine from the buffing block lasted for a pretty long time! I was really impressed. I also really love the cuticle cream. I try to apply a little dab on each nail everyday and it's been helping so much!

Idk how, but this actually made my weak, paper thin nails stronger! They were all jacked up and thinned down after too many Dremel removals of gel polish. I’m still growing them out and keeping them short, but the little bit above my nail bed feels really strong. And they look so pretty and shiny after using the buffing cube. I try to use the cuticle cream every day, though I don’t keep up with the buffing. I am definitely keeping this in my collection of self care products.

I stopped getting gel manicures last year and my nails were in horrible shape under the gel. Thin, brittle and actual layers peeling off. My cuticles were torn and ragged. I started trying every nail repair product I could find, from drugstore to high end. Some gave subtle aesthetic effects, but none were helping to return my nails to a healthy state. Until this kit that is, my nails look great, are strong and with the amazing file in the kit are keeping a nice, uniform length with no breakage. I take biotin supplements as well, but I was taking them with the other products with only small improvements. These products will remain in my nail care routine. Having the option the order replacement pads for the buffer is a great option. You can find a similar product to everything in this kit, but my experience was the best with this one, all of the products are far better than others I have tried. Highly recommend.

This product works well, but it is not cheap, and I don't know if the cream's formulation is proprietary. The buffer and the file can be purchased for much less, so theoretically, the cost is in the cream, and it's hard to tell if there is something special about it. It seems similar to other nail strengtheners/cuticle creams I have used. I have only been using it a week, so maybe its effect will be greater over the long term, but that remains to be seen.
