The lock is impressive and has several features that make unlocking/locking convenient and easy. Pass codes can be permanent, timed or single use. Thumbprints work for the whole family. IC cards add yet another option to scan a thin, modern looking card instead of using a physical key. We've only played with the lock for a day, and I'm sure this is just the surface of what it can really do. Similar to other customers, the initial lock that we received was faulty. However, due to a stellar customer support...we received a replacement lock in about 3 days and it has been going great since. The customer support indicated they were open every day for most hours. I can attest this is true...as they called me back and followed up by text throughout the weekend and evenings. I really have to praise this group - your satisfaction with the product is their top priority. Everything worked perfectly with the replacement. Regarding installation, it was fairly straightforward and instructions were clear. Due to the size of the strike plate hole, I had to shave some of the wood for a proper fit. However, this is a fault of the frame and not the lock. Installation took about 5 minutes and 4 AA batteries with a power drill. Super-easy. Overall, I highly recommend this lock. It is great value for the money and provides so much flexibility. I look forward to buying more locks in the future.

First of all, I would recommend it to anyone who already had deadbolt lock on the door. To open the holes are always complicated and requires experiences. my handyman used to use a lock installation tool from HD to drill the holes for deadbolt, so i knew it is not easy to just "chisel" it. Anyhow, i had a mechanical deadbolt lock. and this lock replaces it without any new drilling except for the top hole required by this lock. the installation (after i read the instruction carefully) only took 30 mins. pros: multi ways to open, auto lock after 30 sec, records on who opened the door and how. cons: no wifi control. this lock is controlled/communicated by bluetooth only. which is limited as 25 ft. if you have a large house, your phone app will not communicate with the door. get a getaway device for that. update: customer service contacted me immediately and provided helps. so i updated the review and give a highest rating. good company. update: i bought the lock 2.5 years ago, customer service and tech support was still very prompt to service me last week. the lock was installed during covid lockdown, so we, as parents, did not realize how convenient it is when all our kids can be in and out the house from their respective school bus schedules in the am and pm. parents do not need to go lock (30s auto lock) and unlock (fingerprint) while you can monitor who just opened the door in the app. Kids do not need to worry about keys and to risk let others know the entry code. Specifically to the company and service, we just randomly picked them 2.5 years ago, but we were surprised by the responsive speed and quality of their service both in 2021 and 2023z Overall, we were very happy with the lock and its service. good lock and company.

Good but after 1 year , problems with configuration, I had to use the manual key

I bought this because it fit what I wanted to spend and had the fingerprint feature. I followed the instructions to configure finger print code and numerical code. Both would work for a few days then would error out. I tried several times and finally wrote the manufacturer. They demanded I send them a video of the lock not working! No troubleshooting or software updates or upgrades. Lock would announce “locked” and door would be unlocked. No remote locking unless you paid to “Remote Lock” by subscription yearly or 2 year plans. Don’t buy this! I upgraded to my security companies Yale lock and it works perfectly. The only + advantage of this lock is the battery meter. Save your money

I initially purchase the Smonet deadbolt fingerprint lock April 2021. I am a caregiver for my Mom who is suffering from Alzheimer’s dementia and I needed a lock that would alllow access to CNA, Aids, physical therapist and family members without needing to pass out a bunch of keys. I solely rely on the fingerprint because of my situation. The best thing about the fingerprint option is that you can add and delete prints in seconds. The app is easy to use and understand. The initially installation and app setup took about 35 minutes. It is now 2023, and my Smonet lock suddenly stopped locking and opening. :( I contacted Smonet which was initially frustrating because I am a baby boomer who is used to calling costumer services and talking to a live person. However, Smonet replies to you through via email which frustrated me because I have 24k emails so I thought they didn’t rely at first, so I contacted Amazon and waited until I got a reply from Smonet via email. CSR Mr. Jackson, began to troubleshoot with me via email. It was frustrating at first because I am 60 years old with minimal technical capabilities, thankfully, Mr. Jackson was very patient and knowledgeable of the product. After several troubleshooting attempts, Mr. Jackson requested a SnapChat. Of course I had to download to my phone. When we snap chatted, I was pleasantly surprised that he spoke very well and very clear all the way from China :-). He had me perform some troubleshooting while he closely watched and immediately determined the issue. The issue was the locking mechanism. Mr. Jackson immediately applied for a replacement. I receive my brand new replacement within a few days. I’m so eternally grateful for the support, respect, knowledge and patience I received! As a caregiver the support that I received is extremely limited in this world so I changed my review to 5 stars because Smonet earned it!! FYI. Do purchase the extended warranty!

Installation was ok. Not my first, I have had many over the years. but I find the fingerprint reader fails. setup shows a good fingerprint BUT always fails when using it to unlock. Also they don't clearly say how to lock it when leaving. I find pressing and holding the # works.

I read reviews on several locks, and even though this one had a few negative entries, it was a good lock for the money. I purchased the lock and after installation, I quickly found that it would not retract the deadbolt completely when unlocking. I worked with Elaine from customer service, and she helped me determine that the deadbolt mechanism was the problem. She sent me a new lock and it arrived in two days. I installed the new lock and it worked flawlessly. I quickly programmed it for fingerprints, RFI devices, numeric pad entry codes and tested the keys. All worked as advertised. Many reviews talk about product failures and the inability to contact customer support... in this case, it was easy to contact them and they responded within a few minutes. Elaine was my support tech and she was superb, it was the best experience I have had with a support group. I highly recommend reaching out to them if you have problems.

I recently purchased a Smonet smart lock and am very happy with it. My primary requirement was that it support fingerprint entry, but because I wanted to match the style of my existing door hardware I had limited options. As you can see from the picture, the Smonet smart lock was a perfect match for my my apartment door's style--it looks beautiful, almost like it was designed to go with this door hardware. The lock supports all of the features you'd expect in a much more expensive smart lock, including a fingerprint reader, passcodes, e-keys, and it even comes with a pair of NFC id cards that you can wave in front of the keypad for touchless unlocking. A bonus feature is its support for a door sensor so that the lock knows when the door is open or closed. This is an inexpensive add-on which I purchased immediately. My only real complaint with the lock was that it could only be accessed by Bluetooth meaning that I couldn't control it remotely. The solution was the G2 gateway. This is a small box, sold separately, that pairs with the smart lock so that it can be accessed anywhere using the Smonet Next Lock app. I originally had difficulty getting the gateway to work reliably with it going offline/online every day. However, thanks to excellent help from Smonet tech support I was able to resolve the issues I was experiencing and it is working fine now. If anyone is considering this addition to their Smonet smart lock, you will probably need to purchase a small secondary router or extender that is configured to broadcast only in 2.4Ghz. Like many products on the market today, the G2 gateway doesn't work with 5Ghz routers or even routers that operate in dual band 2.4/5 mode. I purchased a small travel router and mounted it alongside the G2 gateway and the gateway is now rock solid. All in all, the Smonet smart lock is a great product and I highly recommend it.

This is the best thing I have purchased in a while. I love m’y new keyless door entry. I can open with my finger print open the door for someone else from away, open the door with a small card key that I can leave with someone else to check my house when away. It’s working great and do recommend this for anyone. I purchased it in gold and black to match with my gold door hand door knob so I did not have to change my door knob. Download the TTLock free app to set up and no purchase charge or monthly cost either. It is not mentioned in the direction booklet but I asked for a free app to go with this smart door lock without monthly usage cost and it’s a great app, thumbs up.

Installation was mostly straightforward. The lock fit my door with no modifications. It took a couple tries to get the correct configurations for my left opening door. Once it was installed I had issues connecting what they call a "bluetooth administrator". I had to contact customer support for instructions for how to reset it. After the reset I was able to connect it to the app. After everything was installed and set up the lock wouldn't function correctly. I contacted support again and after walking through a few tests scenarios it turned out to be an internal electrical issue, so they sent me a new one which arrived in 3 days. After installing the new one everything worked fine. The only thing I don't like about the lock is that you need a separate gateway to connect the lock to your home network. Other than that it works great.

Absolutely love this look. You can set it up to share a code or have codes set for inviduals. Battery is amazing have not had a single problem its been almost two years
