Spigen Ultra Hybrid Back Cover Case Compatible with iPhone 12 Pro/12 (TPU + Poly Carbonate | Matte Black)

I use Spigen back case like this one for iPhone 5s. So, I had some idea what this will look like. This one indeed turned out to be just a bigger version of that case. It is robust, fits very well and fairly decent looking. It is not very thin/slim. It will make the phone a little thick to hold but not uncomfortable. Regarding color, the completely transparent one (Crystal Clear model) that is transparent even on the borders looked very good, especially for a white color iPhone. But then, I got the impression that it will become yellowish over time. So, I chose transparent back with black sides/borders instead (i.e. Matte Black model) - that's the color I use for my iPhone 5s too and it never became yellowish, and the current case hasn't either. There is a small box like gap in the case for cameras that has a somewhat thick border which has black color for my case. For a white color iPhone, that black bordered gap at the back might look a little conspicuous.I had seen some reviews that mentioned a block spot emerging at the back when the phone is put in the case. Indeed it happened to me as well. The black spot varies in size - the more you press the case against the phone, the bigger the spot becomes. It looked very ugly and I was disappointed. Fortunately, it can be resolved - at least in my case, the spot has gone. Just tried removing the phone and putting it back in the case twice or thrice, and did not press too hard after fitting. If there was any small spot left, it just went away over time - in a few hours or so.Overall, yet another well-made case by Spigen for iPhone. May not be very slim, but otherwise works perfectly. Might be a good idea to avoid Crystal Clear (completely transparent including borders) model, and go for some other color (that is transparent only on the back but not on the borders/sides).Update: After around 2 years and 3 months, the case started to develop some cracks and bits of it started falling off. I had expected it would be more durable and was a bit surprised to see the cracks. Perhaps 2 years is the general durability of the cases. Anyway, I bought a new one - the same model and color!

Spigen Ultra hybrid cases have a transparent look, allowing you to showcase the sheer beauty of an iPhone. The corners have air bubbles, providing protections in case of accidental drops. Also, the front edges are extended a wee bit, so the screen will not come in contact with the surface, if you keep your phone down that way. Similarly, the back also has four raised feet, with a extended edge on the camera bump, for minimising abrasion, if you keep the phone on its back.However, the reason I'm giving a 4-star is because as with most transparent covers, there is considerable yellowing of the case over time. No amount of washing with acids/soda combo, using a toothbrush with a soap etc. as recommended on YouTube videos will remove the staining. This is my 4th Spigen clear case, after those for my Google Pixel 2XL, Apple iPhone 11, Apple iPhone 7 and now Apple iPhone12. I trust the protection offered by the brand, and as long as the yellowing is not too apparent, the phone shimmers through the case brilliantly.

This one is worth the spend.It looks good, feels good and u get the feel that the mobile is safe.I really liked the way how it feels when u hold the mobile.The thickness is just enough .. after putting this cover it feels more comfortable to hold the mobile.. like the perfect width…Most of all the original look of the phone is not spoiled…I purchased my iPhone 12 in April 2021. This is my second mobile case. So if you are looking for quality.. and durability .. this is the one to go for.

Can’t use the case at all. Tried it on and it damaged the tempered glass. Every time I would press the buttons, it pushed the tempered glass, damaging it. Checked with two of my older cases, didn’t face that issue. Seems like it’s the fit of the case which isn’t perfect. You charge so much for a basic case and yet you don’t get the fit right. It’s useless. Can’t even return it as I peeled off the stickers. Really disappointed. Waste of money.

Very sturdy and sleek. Hasn’t turned yellow even after 1 year of usage. Very satisfied!

Very elegant and have good protection with Good quality material and premium look.Back cover is transient, kind of plastic, can get Scratches.Back always seen with hand prints always.My review post 2 weeks of usage.Not reasonable price!!

The cover fitted my iPhone 12 perfectly and the look is good too. With this cover, phone looks sturdy.
