These are a simple but effective solution for adapting European-style 2-pin plugs to fit UK sockets. I’d been using some lamps with EU plugs with the typical adapters, but often the plugs seemed to be loose or dangerous or sticking out a lot. With these adapters they are safe and secure and look like UK plugs! People are trying to use them as shaver plug adapters or electric toothbrush charger plugs — these are a different size pin to the Euro plugs, so these adapters won’t fit, as far as I can see.

Excellent converter plug for Europlug CEE 7/16 ( EN 50075 ) plugs found on most European small appliances (up to 2.5 amps) I suspect some of the bad reviews are from people trying to fit the similar looking, but incompatible British shaver/toothbrush plug BS 4573. These plugs look very similar, but have shorter, fatter pins and will not fit and should be used with an appropriate shaver adapter only.

I needed it as I had a couple of appliances with an EU plug and this did the trick quite nicely. The only thing this could not do is fit the EU plug of the charge for my toothbrush, but that was not what I bought it for, so I am not too bothered about it. Still, it loses a star for that.

Great product. I wanted to convert a two pin to 3 pin and didn't want the hassle of wiring it myself and nagging safety concerns. This makes life much easier. Will be purchasing a few more.

No uk standard shaver plug fits in them.

These plugs work extremely well to convert a EU 2-pin plug to a UK 3-pin plug without having to carry out a full re-wire. They have a fuse already installed and the plug design looks like it meets the British Safety Standards. The funky see-through design matches perfectly with the cables on the lights I was converting, which I’d bought in France and brought back to the UK.

These are quite stylish, well, as stylish as a plug could be. They are inexpensive but 2 things about them are less satisfactory. Firstly they are made of quite flimsy plastic and they do flex as you plug them in. This might be a smaller concern for some in case they break. Secondly, they don't fit all 2 pin products without squeezing and somrtimes trimming. Again this might be a safety issue. I will probably buy more expensive ones in the future. Our just rewire with 13 amp plugs!

In principle this is a good idea but it needs more size flexibility. I have had to remove parts so it would fit the plug I needed and some of them don’t fit at all. Probably have to just put a three pin plug on.
