Ran this on an impact driver taking apart and assembling some heavy steel gym equipment. Worked great, slightly marred some bolt heads, not stripped by any means, totally fine, but slightly blemished. Despite having to break free some pretty tight bolts and then also tighten them back to a high level, the thing survived. I ran it on low and high impact modes, some of the edge pins did seize up a bit, but didn't keep the socket from functioning and actually started working again a bolt or two later. The socket did get stuck on a bolt here or there, a quick tap of reverse impact would get it free no problem. Overall, this worked better than I'd expected, and it survived a lot of abuse... I'd honestly expected it to fail given the price, but it completed the project (24 bolts, with high impact needed to break some of them free and to lock them down) and looks like it will make it through multiple future uses.

No matter how many tools I own, I can never find the exact one when I need it—but this universal socket has saved me so much time and frustration. So I bought this with a mindset that won't be sturdy and break, and it will be pretty much be a gimmick as seen other commercials. It is a gimmick and it isn't. So yes, this product is very sturdy and pretty much hard to break. It isn't a gimmick because it does work. I can get hooks and nots screwed in. It's a gimmick because it has a limited use with the fact that it doesn't go deep enough if you try to screw in a bolt to a long screw. It will go as deep as about, let's say 1/4th of an inch. Many would probably prefer a wrench over this. Overall, if you need to hook something that's not deep such as the hook in the above advertisement, then this is definitely a buy. Otherwise, stick with old classic tools. My suggestion would be to create some kind of height adjustment with this tool. I can see that this can at least 1/2-3/4 of inch and will definitely expand it's uses.

I've used these before, but I bought 3 for a project where I wouldn't be near civilization. All 3 failed. I hadn't had that happen before. I used them on Lag Bolts and was driving them into hard playa so maybe it was just too much torch
