Would like to make small holes in rocks (difrent kinds) to make jewelry.** A: Yes! Diamond coated drill bits cut through concrete, rock, ceramic, porcelain, terracotta, glass, gemstones, marble, granite, etc. You must keep the gemstone or rock lightly submerged in a pan of water with a piece of wood or rubber below for support. Drill at an angle not at 90 degrees. Once hole has started, gradually tilt the Dremel back to 90 degrees for a straight hole. Some glass may need halfway drilling and repeat on other side to prevent cracking. No pressure, firm hold, angled start, halfway reverse on glass only. **Q: Can these drill into glass products other than seaglass? I would assume so but wanted to check for something such as glass bottles.** A: Jacob, I haven't tried drilling into glass with these. I would say these for a small job, but if you need drill any holes in ceramic or similar material, I would recommend a better quality diamond bit. Since they are fairly inexpensive, the diamonds wear off quickly.
