I received the material very quickly, however on inspection found a ladder running through the middle of it. Reason I didn't send it back was because I was cutting it up for a project.

I bought this material to make the bodies of soft toys and it will do perfectly for the job. Not too many brown flecks which can be the case with some calicos so I was happy to see the material was smooth and strong.

This fabric is on the thin side. I purchased for making dresses but it is see through if held up. Would definitely need to use 2 layers. The quality also isn’t the best. There are some places across the fabric where there’s inconsistencies in the fabric.

The fabric itself is decent quality, however there was a huge amount of dye loss on the first wash. I always expect some, use a couple of colour catchers and prewash any fabric before use. This fabric however bled so much it dyed two colour catchers completely black, plus the other metre of fabric in the machine! That’s excessive in my experience. Once dry the black cotton I ordered is now more charcoal, which is disappointing. I’ve subsequently washed the red cotton and had the same experience. So much dye loss the bubbles in the washing machine were pink! IMO there are far superior alternative fabrics available at the same price, that don’t have these dye issues. You’d be better buying those. Updating this to say, this fabric wasn’t dyed correctly. Had I known at the time I’d had got a refund. What I initially thought was excess dye washing out has not stopped (we’re now at Jan 22). I bought the fabric to make facemasks. I made the inner mask red and the outer mask black, to match my child’s school uniform. The first time I washed the masks, bearing in mind I had pre washed the fabrics, the black ran so much it dyed the red fabric burgundy! With every wash they fade more. They look so tatty now. I’ve never had a fabric or even store bought garment do this before. There’s definitely something wrong with the dyeing process. Avoid!

Needed to recover two chairs so bought this. A bit pricey but great value if you need just a small quantity like me. The quality was as advertised and no complaints at all.
