DC Comics Justice League: Batman New 52 ArtFX+ Statue

I came across this Kotobukiya ARTFX+ series by accident, either here on Amazon or on YouTube, I can't remember, and the thing that drew me to this statue set over say the DC Collections figures was the so-called "metallic" paint job. Well, I'm here to say that the images on the Internet and review vids on YouTube are a bit misleading...but actually in a good way. And by that I mean, the "metallic" paint isn't all that metallic. It's just regular glossy paint, rather than flat paint. But when uses in conjuncture with flat paint on the models, it stands out. So understand this...if you're wondering whether or not to purchase this series and are worried that the "metallic" paint may look a bit cheesy...have no worries, because they aren't as near as shiny as these product pics make them appear to be. Now then, with that said, this Batman statue....It's pretty bad ass. Nice sculpt, finely detailed, even on the shiny paint part...you can see seems in the costume. Nice use of the paint, both in the over all costume, and the accessories, such as the utility belt. The cape sculpt is nice and aides in the stability of the figure. The only thing I would have changed, would be the size of the cowl ears. I know it's probably a feature of the New 52 design, but I think the ears are a bit short. I'd have gone another mm or so. Some have said that the face sculpts show a bit of an Asian look, well, yeah, they do, but with Batman, with his cowl covering most of his face, you can't really tell with this figure. With all that said, and in closing, if you're looking for a nice set of DC Justice League figure set to collect for display, and not for play, look no further than this set. The vibrant paint jobs, the solid builds of the statues, and quality of the sculpts, make this set worthy of the adult collector.

This is a very classy and stylish figure that, while not articulated, allowing for different poses (it doesn't need to be...this guy looks awesome just standing there) still screams "steel-cold conviction".The lack of articulated limbs, while a sticking point for some buyers is, for me, a plus, as you don't get the artificial, robot-like elbows and knees,wrists and shoulders. Limbs look natural and authentic. I have not taken this figure out of its protective casing as I have a feeling that these Kotobukiya figures (from the "New 52" series) are going to escalate in value over the years. Hell, for what they're selling for now, you could almost afford to get one for display and one for future sale. The entire New 52 series figures are very well done, and look incredible posed together. I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my Superman figure in the next week, and most certainly will be getting the Flash and Green Lantern figures as well.I would like to see Kotobukiya bring out some more classic figures like Spiderman and Captain America, or the Fantastic Four, at this price point. They would be irresistable!

I love all of these figures. I am so glad that there are collectible, nice looking statues that are NOT action figures and are not priced too high. I bought Flash for my husband and we have since gotten the whole Justice League. Batman is the biggest because of his cape. (I am comparing to Green Lantern, Flash, Superman, Aqua Man and Wonder Woman). They are shiny, cool and very bright. Wonderful...we are already anticipating Nightwing and Batgirl, as they are coming out in just a few months.

This is a great looking statue! It has very sleek color and detail. There is no articulation since it is a statue, not a figure. The magnet base is effective, but not very strong. It won't fall over on its own, but it won't take much of a bump to be knocked over. As much as I hate to say it, Amazon is the best place to buy as most retailers are selling for $50. I was unsure of this for a while, but now I'm glad I bought it.

I love this statue, I also bought the Superman one to go along with it. It’s a great sculpt and shiny metallic paint looks cool. As stated before by others the face/jaw could be more “square/masculine”. It’s very Japanese. I deducted a star cause it came with a few minor flaws in the paint work and scratch/ding in the sculpt. This was a sealed/new box so it came from manufacturer like that. Can’t notice anything sitting on my shelf but it’s a little disappointing. Also, BE CAREFUL unboxing this and removing the plastic sheeting. Mine was incorrectly wrapped around/through one of his delicate glove bat fins and would have surely broke it off had I not noticed when removing it. They are very fragile.

after all the reviews I read about this, I was waiting in anticipation for my package to arrive. I checked my tracking info at least 30 times today. Once I got it, I was AMAZED with the quality. It is so intricately detailed, and masterfully painted! Definitely going to buy the other members of the justice league now! I bought this one first because, let's face it, Batman is the best. And, I got it just in time for Batman Day!

I just got mine in the mail yesterday, much faster than I anticipated! This is the fourth New 52 figure I have purchased and I must say I am in total love with it already! I uploaded a few pictures, hope they come out okay. I own Green Lantern, Flash, Superman and now Batman. I love them all, but this may be my favorite... although The Flash one is pretty darn nifty. Like the others, the magnetic feet and baseboard was a stroke of brilliance! I can't stress how detailed these figures are. The level of craftsmanship used to make these couldn't be higher. From the buttons on the utility belt to the perfectly sculpted cowel, it's flawless execution. These are pretty much for adults to display and not action figures for kids to play with.

From Kotubukiya, that's all there is to know really, details are there, the packaging is nice, clear, you can see the whole figurine, defintepy happy to have this as a part of my collection.

I absolutely love this Batman. I already have the rest of the JL (barring Flash) and the whole set is amazing. Batman was the last one I bought but was well worth the wait. The packaging and delivery were top notch. Brand new figure and unopened box. Couldn't ask for more.

サイコーです。形もかっこいいし、メタリックボディでキラキラしているのもいい。また、台座が磁石なのもいい。

It was shipped very quickly and in good shape. Statue is very robust and stands perfectly. Definitely worth it!
